A player who had a 59% in field goals cant be a bad offensive player. The situation with the minutes happens with every player in Spain and Europe for example Lucas Nogueira played 13 minutes and Nikola Mirotic who play in the league as a Spaniard because he is nationalized only played 21 minutes. In Rusia Nened Kristic played only 18 minutes.Tiago Spliter had a career 5 rebounds per game in Spain and he never played more than 18 minutes.

Good post. My thoughts exactly.  I remember when people were arguing why we shouldn't draft Splitter & they immediately talked about his non existent stat column over in the Euro leagues.

You just can't go by Euro stats anymore....Extremely different situation over there.  Completely different ball game over here in the bigs

Danny confuses me! I think I would have rather took a flyer on a Greg Oden for a year instead of locking up a unknown for 3. I'll take the unknown of Oden's knees over our 2 Brazilians any day!

This is just not true. And you don't even have to go past the recent Celtics to see why.

Kendrick Perkins twice shot over 60% from the field and even in those years he was a bad offensive player. Perk never got better. He is actually a lot worse offensive player now after his 2011 injury.

This guy does seem to have a similar physical profile to -pre-injury Perk - beefy, long, moderately mobile.  Similar turnover and foul issues too.  Though his scoring volume is quite a bit higher than Perk's ever got to.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I think KG, Paul, and Ray being all out on the floor with him had something to do with it too

just need a big ol guy to stick in there and play most of the minutes , as Fab just an't ready at all and would be a joke and KO is not a perfect center , but more of a PF really.   He looks capable of playing long minutes .  badly ,,,,what we need to tank up.

He'll do fine to take up minutes and hits and absorb punishment so Sully , Green and KO can stay healthy....thus leading to an amazing low number of wins , as Rondo recovers and watches sitting  on the bench  ;D

19-23 wins

Bad comparison between Perk and Faverani, because Faverani also had a 80% free throws shooting and he took 16 shoots from 3 point range.I just read an article about how Faveranis team Valencia Basket is going to have problems to get a big as good as Faverani in the offence. If you see videos from Faverani you can see that he use both hands to shoot and he runs the floor very well also his wingspan is huge ,I don't know how can you compare him with Perk.

Because, ya! Greg Oden is that easy to get!
Jeff Green - Top 5 SF

I didn't compare him to Perk. I just pointed out that him shooting 59% from the field proves absolutely nothing regarding whether he is a good offensive player or not.

And again, I refuse to watch you tube vids of a player and make assumptions on his skill based on highlights. I want to see him in game action versus NBA competition or at least in multiple competitive level basketball games to get a handle on his skill level.

Hey Nick, so I guess he did sign, huh?

If you go back a page you will see me admitting I was wrong about the foreign presses original reports. When I am wrong. I admit it. I man up about such things.

You don't need to look at the highlights, I'll tell you the three things I saw that looked important.

1. He will take and can hit jump shots all the way out beyond the Euro 3pt line. Consistent? Who knows Frequency? Don't know. But he will do it and he can hit them. Perk comparison..."<Scowl> What's a jump shot?"

2. He can set non-moving picks, roll to the basket, catch a pass and dunk the ball. Again, frequency and consistency? Don't know, but he *can* do all of that. Perk comparison..."<Scowl> Come on man! That ain't a foul!"

3. He can take the ball on the low post, reset, and execute both spins, hooks, and up and unders with pretty nifty footwork. Sure, who know how often he can do it, but he *can*.  Perk comparison..."<Scowl>Big Al does that junk, not me!"

What I saw said, "Not a stiff." Whether he can be more than "not a stiff" in the NBA remains to be seen, but deserves an open mind. Danny and his scouts *must* have seen a whole lot more of Faverani than we have in those highlights.

I have to back up Nick here, he does man up and admit whenever he is wrong, unlike a lot of other people.

I know making predictions off youtube highlight videos is dumb but I do like the fact that he seems comfortable using his left hand.

However the scouting reports from I think it was the Globe were confusing, one saying he was an offensive player and one saying he was a defensive player.
