Really hope Pressey and Iverson are on the roster.  Not sure how this all works out.
We're at 17 without Joseph at this point. Randolph is on a non-guaranteed deal.

To me this means that we'll end up cutting two from the lot of Pressey, Iverson, Faverani, Randolph, and perhaps Bogans (depending on how his contract is structured).
I think Randolph is gone.

I agree, given how our big man stock has turned around, I think he's become redundant. So I guess it's Faverani vs Iverson for the last spot, unless we manage to spin a quick trade (I think Pressey is pretty much a lock  to make the squad).

I wouldn't be shocked if we see a trade of Jordan Crawford and a top-55 protected second round pick for the draft rights of a foreign player who will never appear in the NBA to make sure that this signing doesn't put the Celtics into the luxury tax.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Interesting move - is he fighting it out with Iverson for rookie center roster spot or Fab [who is still under contract]? Obviously there is something Ainge likes in Faverani so let's see what he has to offer - would have liked to see him in summer league.

Also, there is no way Danny is done. We have some pretty decent players that don't fit our roster that other teams would be very happy to have...

Not sure it will help much, Crawford is paid peanuts. (~$1.4 million, if I'm not mistaken).

Fair enough, I must be misremembering. I only recalled him as a reasonable contact that was under team control for multiple years.

I understand why some don't like parts of his game, but Crawford is a productive player.  I'd like him on the roster.

I doubt Danny is done. It wouldn't surprise me if several guys come and go over the next couple of months.

I just want to keep Jeff and Rondo. If DA could guarantee me safe passage for those two, I'd feel much more at ease. And I'd even be willing to compromise for Sully or AB...although I'd just assume keep them too.

I just bought a Jeff Green shirt and the dude WILL be a monster. He's got had so much heart! Bookmark my words.

Fourth year of a rookie scale contract has a bit of a bump up from the third year, but they can make him a restricted free agent after that by tendering a qualifying offer.

Could still be, 3 year deal doesn't have to be big committment.

His PER numbers are off the charts.  Athletic big man, could possibly give you a great spot run of 15-20 minutes night in and night out.  Interesting pickup.
