ive stated the fact of trading rondo for our future all star center in Drummond, but i would like to see what you guys think of acquiring Brandon Jennings. If so wouldnt rondo be even more xpendable for us. Obviously rondo, is a much better point gaurd, but i could see Jennings being a championship point gaurd. He is a much better point gaurd, then the last 4 NBA championship Point guards.

edit:

also not to mention, imagine a starting 5 of

Jennings
jeff green or shooter/ avery
Wiggins
Olynyk
Drummond

thats 4 shooters surronding drummond, if we can develop him into a dominant low post player, guy is only 19 turning 20 with so much upside and athleticism. Not to mention obviously Wiggins is the next Durant in my view. with jeff green being a 3rd or 4th option and Jennings to just run the offense and hit 3s. That is a championship team im sorry. I didnt even mention our dirk nowitzki in Olynyk.

Not a fan of his game. He seems a bit too volatile.

he was the first option, he would be a role player with us regardless of this tank year or if we tried to win this year, jeff green would clerly be the number option and drummond would be a close second

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I actually wouldn't mind it, but only at the right price. His fg% is really really bad (like under 40% bad). If we were counting on him to be a main scorer, I don't like it, but to run the point and learn to be a more efficient scorer, it could work...maybe.

I prefer to avoid a scoring point guard who is a bad shooter and won't/can't make up for his flaws on offense with his defense.

Great a 39% shooting first point guard who forces a lot of unnecessary shots, and wants a 12 per year million contract? If we wanted to tank, we might as well start Pressey. BJ also has terrible defense... so I really don't get why you're infatuated with him.

im a big believer in keeping rondo, and have always supported keeping him, you know i meant to say it as if we ship him out.

Jennings is the anti-Rondo. Shoot first, pass some other time.

Let Me score first, I'll get back to you later mindset.

Volume shooter who would create problems in the long run to the Cs locker room
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

For someone like Brandon Jennings whose game relies on his confidence, which is definitely a good thing especially if a player is good. He's going to ask for more than 8 mil, and will never be a back up combo guard.

So I guess your answer is never?

Replacing one of the smartest, most unselfish pass-first PGs in the league for a low-IQ, inefficient, me-first chucker?

Yeah no.

Well yeah, but other than that he'd be totally great.

Yeah pretty much. He's a terrible shooter, managed only 6.5 assists on a team with multiple offensive options, doesn't rebound that great, and I have doubts about his defense.
