drummond and monroe are ridiculously overrated on here

sullinger is much better than both players. its easy to rebound and score when your team is the detroit pistons.
What? How have you reached that conclusion?

Yea how did you? ???

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
If Detroit won't trade either of them for Rondo, there is no way Sullinger will be enough...no matter how well he develops over the first half of the year.

We would probably have to give up a couple of firsts with Sullinger (NJ and LAC, preferably) and I would definitely do that...

LOL, this is ludicrous.   I have a bridge if your buying.   This almost made we fall out of the chair laughing.  Monroe is a better player than Sully will ever be and Drummond has way more potential.

If you offered them Sully for either one of these guys they'd laugh at your paltry offer.

Sullinger for Monroe/Drummond is the perfect response to their offer for Rondo :)

This I won't argue.

It's posts like these that make me frequent these forums less and less.

Celtics would have to trade a lot more for either of these players.

So, the follow-up questions are: how much more would the Celtics have to trade and how much more would you be willing to see the Celtics give up?

Sully, Humphries and Nets 1st rounder possibly a future 1st for MONROE!!!!

They would never do that.

AND

If we called with Rondo, Sully, Humphries and a #1 for Drummond, they might still say no. He's near untouchable there....

These kind of questions should really be kept to oneself.  It's a lot less embarrassing.

It's a very limiting premise, albeit conceivable.

Question is why wouldn't they shift Josh Smith to PF while filling other needs with Monroe/Drummond.

If I were Detroit, I'd stick with the twin towers for at least several more years. 19 and 23 year old bigs with advanced skill sets are hard to come by and have a lot of room to improve.

I'm quite interested in seeing one of the biggest front courts ever, not just in terms of raw size but the way they play.

Consider their GM and his past history on the job.  I'd be a bit shocked if the Pistons ended up doing whatever I thought made the most sense if they felt that they needed to ship off one of their centers because they couldn't be on the floor at the same time.

Maybe more people would be against even considering the idea if Sullinger was averaging 15 points and 9 rebounds per game through the first couple months of the season.

if somehow we could keep rondo and get drummond, wed be contenders in the east this year, but not happening. I say we trade rondo and sully, and clippers 1st, for pistons 1st, knight, and drummond. Tank the rest of this year and have a future lineup of

Knight or Go out and pickup Brandon Jennings. I really think BJ hasnt been picked up because hes waiting to see if rondo gets traded.Id give BJ a big deal honestly. He hasnt earned it but to be our future point gaurd with a good team, id put my money on it, hes a clutch 3 point shooter at the point gaurd position, hard to find.

But as i was saying
2015 lineup of

Knight and or Jennings
Jeff Green/ avery
Wiggins/
Olynyk
Drummond

that can honestly in 3 years be contending for a championship.

BJ is one of the most inefficient chuckers, and can rarely take over games with a commanding presence. Sure the potential is there, but it'll be hard to really try to drill it into a shooting first point guard like him.

like ive said in another thread, BJ is the 1st option in milwaukee, hes their best scorer, thats why he is a chucker.

Actually Ellis is... He takes far more shots, and is actually more clutch in late game situations despite his even worse inefficacy.
