Humphries.

Prior to last season he averaged 14 and 11 whole sorting a pretty good percentage from the field too.  He's a nice guy, but I don't see Bass ever averaging those numbers under any circumstances, in any lineup. Bass seems like he can either score or rebound/defend, but he seems completely incapable of doing both in the same game.

Also Bass is listed at 6'8" but it's actually 6'7" with shoes and wat undersized for the NBA PF spot.  Humphries is listed at 6'9" but actually stands 6'10" in shoes, which is much better.  Bs gets by with his muscle, but Humphries is at least as beefy as he is.

Humphreys + Sully would make one hell of a rebounding font court, while pairing him with a shooter like Bass or Olynyk could have us force him to play, inside more.  From what I understand he is a decently capable scorer inside when he wants to.

I live bass as a player but I don't se where he fits a rebuilding team like boson now. He's much more valuable I think as a solid bet on a playoff team.

Depends on which Humphries shows up.  The Humphries of two years ago was a nice, useful player - a bit better than Bass.  The Humphries of last year was barely a rotation player, never mind a starter.

There is a difference, but not as large as you're trying to make it.

Humphries is 6'8.25 barefoot, Bass is 6'6.25 barefoot. However, they have exactly the same standing reach (8'10.5), and Bass is 5-10 lbs heavier (given the shorter body, that probably means he's harder to move). But for all practical purposes, they're probably the same player.

Humphries is a better rebounder and Bass is better at everything else (maybe Humphries has better hands) which is why Bass should get more minutes.

Bass is the better offensive player.  Bass is the better defensive player.  We're talking significant differences, not marginal differences.

So, it comes down to how much you value rebounding (and maybe how much you value height even when it doesn't correlate to production).

Bass should be traded this offseason (he's got value to a contending team).  Playing time at the PF spot should be going to Sully/KO.

Humpries, it's hard not to dislike the guy but figure he's got more value as an expiring contract to be used somehow at the trade deadline.  Pretty sure he's got a little more experience playing at the 5, and we don't really have anybody else there who's proven at all.

Hopefully, both guys are gone by February, though.
