In a weird way, it's fun having threads like this again. It really takes me back to the late 1990s when I first started really getting into the Celtics. Getting too invested in our draft picks is like putting on a snug old pair of jeans that fit like they used to. Hopefully it's only a short stay at the bottom, but it's fun watching guys develop, too.
In a lot of ways, following prospects, watching them develop and the "hope" for the future is as entertaining as watching a playoff team.
I had a lot of fun watching Big Al develop. When Big Al was finally dropping 16/10 a night, that was exciting. How good will he get!??!
Same with Rondo over the past few years until he finally peaked. Very exciting watching him improve. That's one thing that's been lacking on this team the last few years... high quality prospects with star potential. Guys like Bradley and even Sully seem to have really low ceilings. KO is intriguing, though. He could end up being worse than Adam Morrison, but he's an intriguing prospect.
