I know I'm probably just an overly excited as a fan but is anyone noticing what Olynyk has been doing in summer league?? He looks like the best offensive player in the draft. Olynyk the Clinic is NO JOKE

MVP of the summer league? Yeah, a case could be made given his offense.

He has my vote.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Let's set our sights lower.  Maybe Olynyk can bee All-Rookie with a shot at scoring enough to be ROY.

Can Olynyk take the starting power forward job away from Sullinger and Bass?

Gotta say, given the centers we currently have on this team, the Celtics might have to start both Sullinger and Olynyk and just play whichever player defensively on the opposing center that best matches up against that player.

This ^

I think Sully deserve to start, but depending on how KO plays, he can replace Bass

In a weird way, it's fun having threads like this again.  It really takes me back to the late 1990s when I first started really getting into the Celtics.  Getting too invested in our draft picks is like putting on a snug old pair of jeans that fit like they used to. Hopefully it's only a short stay at the bottom, but it's fun watching guys develop, too.

In a lot of ways, following prospects, watching them develop and the "hope" for the future is as entertaining as watching a playoff team.

I had a lot of fun watching Big Al develop.  When Big Al was finally dropping 16/10 a night, that was exciting.  How good will he get!??!

Same with Rondo over the past few years until he finally peaked.  Very exciting watching him improve.  That's one thing that's been lacking on this team the last few years... high quality prospects with star potential.   Guys like Bradley and even Sully seem to have really low ceilings.  KO is intriguing, though.  He could end up being worse than Adam Morrison, but he's an intriguing prospect.

He's been the best player in the Orlando Summer League, so yeah, he's got a great shot at MVP.

You really think that Sully has a low ceiling and that Rondo has peaked?

I just don't see that.

I feel that Sully might have a much higher ceiling than Olynyk based solely on what he has already done against NBA competition at 20 years old versus what Olynyk was doing at 20 years old versus college competition.

I credit KO with the higher ceiling, but hope Sully puts up some good numbers this year as well, because I could see him as the foundation of a future trade for a star.

Although i don't think Sully has a low ceiling but i see him averaging 10 and 10 if he does stay healthy and pans out. Olynyk on the other hand has such a vast offensive repertoire that his impact will be immediate. I truly see him as a 18 and 8 player for us in the next couple years

I think he's already making Danny feel better about lining up a deal to trade Bass away.  And I'd be fine with KO and Sully starting together next year--except for unfavorable matchups.

I think we want some unfavorable matchups. (Wiggins)
