Hm. Don't know anything about him and didn't see ANY signings coming. Cool though. Hope it's not just to mentor Fab, that's looking more and more like a lost cause.
You don't know anything, because there's nothing to know. He's a 25-year-old nobody from the Spanish league, who has never averaged 10 ppg or 5 rpg in his 5-year pro career.

Strictly a warm camp body. Can also be a favor for an agent -- it has happened before that NBA teams would sign players for the headlines, then cut them first day of camp (Boyko Mladenov to Sacramento in 2003 comes to mind).

How in the world would you know this? You are deserving of a front office position for this single post.
He played for my hometown team back in Bulgaria at the time (he was also a homegrown talent there and a big-time national team prospect). I found the whole escapade pretty hilarious. I mean, the guy had size, mobility, and some skills, but the notion that he could play in the NBA was completely outlandish. The Kings promptly cut him the first day of camp.

He looks a little like DWill to me.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Likely one of Humprhies, Bass gone. Or who knows both.

Olynyk, Sullinger and maybe Iverson. Melo gone to the D league, Shav is just a cheerleader.

Danny starting to build a team for Stevens. He wants players that value teamwork, defense and have high bbiq.

We need to be getting rid of players, not signing them.

Flip the calendar over.  It's July

Randolph and White will be gone before Humphries or Bass. That's the way the cookie crumbles.

Mark Murphy ‏@Murf56 50m

League source confirms that Celts talking with Brazilian center Vitor Faverani. But as to whether deal is imminent, he said, "Not sure."

Murphy also just tweeted that the Celtics are debating over whether to pay the necessary buyout.

Sign 'em up...he looks like the second coming of Sheed - without the 3 point shot.

Looks as good as LeBron at a fraction of the cost.

I saw some videos on youtube. Personal CV is poor. Is so difficult to find in NBA a normal player better than him? ???

This season is about changing the team, not winning. Let a bunch of "what the heck, give'm a chance" players have their day in the sun. At best, Faveroni looks to be a backup center at best. Great!

Such players are not easy to find, so if ainge can get one now it saves trouble later.

I see no problem with bringing him into camp to see what he can do. If he better than iversion or melo, so much the better. If not, they cut him.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

youtube videos don't tell you anything useful. I'm sure Ainge and the celtics scouted this guy up close, just as they did Olynyk and Stevens.

And what do you mean by normal?
