I don't wanna jump on the Fab bashwagon but his hands near the rim are really bad. How does a guy that big get stuffed from the side...balls through his hands....this is his 2nd Summer league. Looks like his 1st

Fab was our best player (at worse tied w/ KO) in the second half, few mistakes... total turnaround from his underwhelming first half!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

nice game. Celtics lost basically to an Orlando team that had starters and most of their bench last year playing today.

Orl key players

Osby, Oliadipo

Celts key players

Olynyk, Mitchell, Pressey

Solid stat line for a guy everyone knew was a 3-4 year investment. Roy hibbert was absolute garbage his first couple years in the league. Perk was too.

Both those guys looked like scrubs who had no business starting for NBA teams.

i saw that twice in the final minutes in the 4th...he really gotta finish strong. You cannot be 7 ft and not finish when you're that close and getting blocked by a guard...

He needs to be more explosive

Fab looked improved to me but he was so horrible to begin with he still has a long a ways to go.   Shot looked better, body looked better looked winded at times.   Iverson plays with more effort and showed better defensive range but Melo outplayed him most other areas.   His hands are still suspect and can only rebound boards that come right to him.  Iverson, too had conditioning issues.   But Melo's shot has improved, and he looked stronger.  Still a project but he is moving in the right direction.  Melo looked great on the baby hooks but air balled one and got blocked on a dunk by a 6-4 guy.  One good thing about Iverson is that when guys hit him they hit the floor, they literally bounced off him.  I think Melo problems are his hands are weak and between the ears.  But take heart there was some improvement.

Oly can score and in nifty ways.   Good player on offense but very bad on defense.  All of our bigs lean too far forward in their defensive stances, that includes Melo, Iverson and Oly.   They were off balance.  Oly looked better than Sully did last year.   I could see these two playing a lot this year.   Sully can board aand shoot.   Oly can shoot and I can see Sully playing the five and Oly the four.

Tony Mitchell, not he who was drafted this spring but the NBA DL guy looks decent.  He is a SF.  Showed range and ability to penetrate.

Pressey was the best guard we had.   Guys obviously missed some of his passes as they have had limited PT together.  But if they had been cutting the passes were crisp and well placed.

Thing, I hate about summer league is guys who have no shot taking wild shots.   The guard play was not as bad as last year but still some wild chucks.

I thought the refs were horrible and helped the home team.

good analysis. Except for the bad defensive game by Olynyk.

Anybody he covered had a hard time scoring against him. Love the effort to challenge jump shots also. But we all know Olynyk is not going to save anyone else.  Some guys on the team played very bad defense, letting their man get past them. Hard to blame anyone else for that.

Would have liked to seen Pressey get more of a run other than KO he's the most talented player we have. Turned the ball over a bit early but that has to do with lack of communication. Should not play less minutes than guys who have no shot making the team. (Johnson-Odom is awful)

no the assistants. We lost basically to a team with a bunch of nba experienced players. Nothing to get worked up about.

Melo's pass to the no look and unable to slam inside the paint dunks were horrid to watch. I don't think he will get it

Except for the bad defensive game by Olynyk.

His does not move his feet well.  He had six fouls, Nicholason took him to the hole a lot and easily.   I was not a big fan on Oly but offensively he looked steady and capable.   His D though was not solid.   It is to be expected the competition in Summer League he was guarding NBA guys who have made it into the league. Ojapido also took him to hole a few times.  His offense was excellent but he has some things to learn on defense.
