Fab looked improved to me but he was so horrible to begin with he still has a long a ways to go. Shot looked better, body looked better looked winded at times. Iverson plays with more effort and showed better defensive range but Melo outplayed him most other areas. His hands are still suspect and can only rebound boards that come right to him. Iverson, too had conditioning issues. But Melo's shot has improved, and he looked stronger. Still a project but he is moving in the right direction. Melo looked great on the baby hooks but air balled one and got blocked on a dunk by a 6-4 guy. One good thing about Iverson is that when guys hit him they hit the floor, they literally bounced off him. I think Melo problems are his hands are weak and between the ears. But take heart there was some improvement.
Oly can score and in nifty ways. Good player on offense but very bad on defense. All of our bigs lean too far forward in their defensive stances, that includes Melo, Iverson and Oly. They were off balance. Oly looked better than Sully did last year. I could see these two playing a lot this year. Sully can board aand shoot. Oly can shoot and I can see Sully playing the five and Oly the four.
Tony Mitchell, not he who was drafted this spring but the NBA DL guy looks decent. He is a SF. Showed range and ability to penetrate.
Pressey was the best guard we had. Guys obviously missed some of his passes as they have had limited PT together. But if they had been cutting the passes were crisp and well placed.
Thing, I hate about summer league is guys who have no shot taking wild shots. The guard play was not as bad as last year but still some wild chucks.
I thought the refs were horrible and helped the home team.
