If so where. I know Kobe the rapist would never tank. So what kind of return could they get for him at this stage. We could actually use a proven two guard. I kid, I kid.

Their team is officially garbage I hope they keep him and are mediocre again but I think they should look to move on.

I honestly don't know why they wouldn't amnesty him. He will cost them something like $50 million in salary and luxury tax to play less than a full season on a non-contender.

He can always return the following year even if he doesn't want to sit out a year. But if he sat and rehabbed slowly he could probably prolong his career.

I guess after the PR hit the Lakers just took, they need him though. Even if it costs them an absurd amount of money.

Trade him to Orlando for a bag of SWA peanuts.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I actually like that idea. Haha.
Kobe gets to be with his hero, and he has a good young team and a good center to play with.

pretty sure they will keep him and that Lakers team will make the playoffs and be another first round exit. So basically, the Lakers will be what the Celtics would've been had we not made the big trade to send KG and PP out. No salary cap, no picks, and not really a contender unless something very fortunate happens.

Yeah, I think they will make the playoffs too.  Kobe, Nash, and Gasol is probably a better fit than Kobe, Nash, Gasol, and Howard anyway.

I really don't buy that at all. They'd be better with Howard there, Howard was never the problem in that team not succeeding. Nash was a problem, severely underperformed and his defense was a very big weakness for them (until they started using Kobe more to help defend PGs).

The coach also did a terrible job.

What I still don't understand is how they didn't fire him when the season ended, that was such a no-brainer.
