They're over the cap, so this has to be a S&T that also includes Denver.  Weird move by both Utah and GSW, IMO.
Not true.

They're dumping Bidrins and Jefferson on the Jazz. That frees up enough room to sign Iggy outright.

Iggy is getting signed outright, if the want howard it has to be sign and trade.

Wow, so they brought in Iggy to replace whichever one of Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes goes to the Lakers along with Andrew Bogut who Dwight will be replacing?

That is a great idea.

G - S.Curry
G - K.Thompson or H.Barnes
F - Iguodala
F - D.Lee
C - D.Howard

Wow. That's an extremely well constructed team. I particularly like having Iguodala in the mix at wing to help cover their defensive weaknesses. Combining Howard with "the best shooting backcourt of all time" is also the most perfect fit he could possibly ask for.

I love what the Warriors have done.

Either they dont get dwight and are a great running team with Barnes coming off the bench at the 3 and 4. Or they trade Barnes and Bogut and have a great balanced team. That would give them an elite perimemter defender in igy, two elite shooters (curry+Thomspon), elite rim protector (howard) and a great hustle PF (lee).

Wait Brandon Rush will be back right? He'd be a fine guy to round out their guard rotation if he can come back healthy.
And maybe Ezeli and Draymond Green if they didn't lose them in their trades. Those two guys and B.Rush sort out their depth 2 through 5. Just need a backup PG.

I think it depends on what Iggy's starting number is, which I haven't bothered to calculate.

It would be easy enough to add Iggy in as a S&T, because Golden State will have a huge trade exception out of the Utah aspect of the deal, I believe.  That trade exception disappears if they need to use cap room, so it's use it or lose it.

Rush is also reportedly heading to the Jazz.

Brandon Rush is the third player going to Utah in the Jefferson-Biedrins salary dump, league source says.

Aw man, I want Rush to stay in GSW, oh well. Good luck to My Boy in Utah.

According to Woj (twitter) a '14 first rounder is involved too.

I just saw that he turned down 52 over 4 from the Nuggets.

Yeah.  There are pluses and minuses to both approaches:

S&T:  Golden State would be effectively hard-capped at the luxury tax apron, I believe.

Sign outright:  Golden State would have to renounce the free agent rights to Landry and Jack; would lose use of the MLE.

I'm gonna bet on a S&T.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
The Western Conference needs to be officially scared of Golden State now.
