After dumping a bunch of salary on the Jazz somehow.

Both Bidrens and Jefferson are going to the Jazz, unsure how much and what the Jazz are getting for this salary dump.

Wait, what?

Wonder what they gave up in order to get Utah to take on that salary.

I thought the point was to free cap space to make a run at Dwight.  Odd.  Maybe they hope to sign-and-trade for Dwight.

They could still sign and trade for Dwight. They still have Bogut's contract and their other young players.

But yeah I wonder if this was really about convincing Dwight to try and come? Strange to committ to Iggy after Barnes/Thompson looked so promising.

Wow, so they brought in Iggy to replace whichever one of Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes goes to the Lakers along with Andrew Bogut who Dwight will be replacing?

That is a great idea.

G - S.Curry
G - K.Thompson or H.Barnes
F - Iguodala
F - D.Lee
C - D.Howard

Yep.  Whereas, if it's Bogut + Thompson or Barnes in a S&T, it makes a ton more sense.

Curry
Thompson
Iggy
Lee
Howard

That's a scary lineup.

The elephant in the room is still what they're giving to the Jazz to take on 20 million dollars in contracts.

Title contender if they can sort out a backup guard/big and the cheming gum holding Curry's ankles together holds up.

They're over the cap, so this has to be a S&T that also includes Denver.  Weird move by both Utah and GSW, IMO.

The problem I have with it is, what if Dwight doesn't come?

I'm not sure Iggy makes much sense for the team if they're not moving Thompson/Barnes. I guess they can always dangle them both for an upgrade later...

Wait Brandon Rush will be back right? He'd be a fine guy to round out their guard rotation if he can come back healthy.

WOW!

At this point I don't care if they trade Bogut for Dwight. With him and Iggy, that would be nasty!

So Iggy, Klay, Barnes, Rush. That's one heck of a defensive wing rotation.

Not true.

They're dumping Bidrins and Jefferson on the Jazz. That frees up enough room to sign Iggy outright.

Same, They need another shooter other than Curry.
