Our tanking boston celtics. Now all we need is rondo to sit out and we arguably have the Worst starting 5 in the league.

Honestly, that's a more reasonable deal than I was expecting.

I actually like this for the Charlotte, a good player to pair with Haywood. And they have a ton of cap space next year, so better have good players signed.

Let's trade them Rondo/Green to them so they can continue to "Bobcat Block"! (First Kemba & Gilchrist, now Zeller??)

Jefferson becomes their best player. Only three years, and as others have reported, they have to make the salary floor somehow.

Wonder if will they amnesty Ty Thomas to make this signing?

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
So they draft Cody Zeller, then give Big Al $41 million for three years (with an opt-out after the second year).

Big Al/Zeller/Biyombo is an intriguing frontcourt.  Not sure if it will be successful.  After all, it's the Bobcats we're talking about here.

I think Big Al and Cody Zeller are an interesting starting duo.

I think this could make them a player for rondo now. At 28 big al is a win now move. We could see an offer such as:

Ramon sessions, ben gordon, Kidd-gilchrist, biyambo, Ty Thomas, and a 2014 pick (can they move that?)
For
Rondo lee and Gerald Wallace.

Gordon and sessions are both expiring. Thomas is a year shorter then Wallace who had his best years as a bobcat. Mkg, byombo, and the pick (potentially) would be nice assets.

Big al, Cody zeller, wallace, lee, and rondo with a bench of Haywood, Kemba, and Henderson along with others should be a playoff team in the west.

Maybe they amnesty Thomas, sign smith, and then look at a rondo trade.

I'm not saying we should look to trade rondo but I'm expecting a Charlotte rumor or two this month.

Oof. You think Charlotte is going to be that good?
that is such an overpay. A really bad contract.

Moves like that are the moves of a franchise whose upside and destiny is mediocrity.

G - K.Walker, R.Sessions
G - J.Taylor, B.Gordon
F - M.Kidd-Gilchrist, (G.Henderson?)
F - C.Zeller, Ty Thomas, H.Warrick
C - Al Jefferson, B.Biyombo, B.Haywood

That team should be quite a bit better than last year's squad. More well-rounded. Deeper.

Move up to being a 25-30 win team instead of a 15-20 win team.

They might have to depending on other moves they make.

Bobcats will amnesty F Tyrus Thomas to create the room to sign Jefferson.
