Zaza Pachulia signed for Milwaukee for $15.6 million over 3 years.

Wow, great deal for Pachulia. Tony Allen should hire Pachulia's agent.

Why the heck do the Bucks need Zaza? They have enough good big men as is.

PF - Ersan Ilyasova, John Henson, Drew Gooden (plus maybe some Mbah a Moute too)
C - Larry Sanders, Zaza Pachulia, Epke Udoh

They must be unconvinced about Udoh or Henon's ability to play minutes at the center position which is fair enough. Both guys are liable to being overpowered at that position. Naturally big forwards rather than centers.

They need to tidy up that big man depth. Some good talent (reserve quality) is going a waste there. Gooden/Henson and Udoh are too good to be third stringers. They have no depth on the perimeter yet. Probably can't move Gooden and Henson is too intriguing to give up at this point. Maybe they should trade Udoh for a perimeter guy.

Randy Foye got $9 million over 3 years from Denver. It became part of a sign and trade for Iguodala to GSW and Biedrins plus RJ to Utah.

Will Bynum got two years $5.75 million to stay in Detroit.

I would have loved to have seen Danny Ainge sign W.Bynum to that contract here.

Gooden is a prime amnesty candidate, I think.

But it seems Milwaukee has one C too many. Perhaps one heads out in a potential Jennings-Teague swap with ATL?

I'm looking forward to the day when the analytics movement has taken a firm hold across the entire league and a guy like Monta Ellis is lucky to get mini-MLE money.

Well until then it looks as if he'll get a JR Smith like contract from the Mavs

Monta Ellis is unhappy that he's not getting big contract offers. So what does he do? He fires his agent:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9466346/monta-ellis-parts-agent-jeff-fried

Quote
Having rejected a contract extension from the Milwaukee Bucks that would have enabled him to make $36 million over the next three years, he is hoping to make $40 million over four years.

Good luck with that, Monta.

I'm only posting this because I've eaten breakfast there. Fried catfish with eggs and grits. Yum.

The Breakfast Klub is a great place to eat. Always packed but it's worth standing in line for. Think I might go tomorrow.
