Maybe it's a little late but I thought it'd help to have one catch-all thread for all the different FA news and signings out there.

I'll start - JR Smith resigns with NY for 4 years, 24.5 million (the article says tentative, but it just broke a few minutes ago that he's definitely taking it).

Not a major surprise although after the season he had I'm surprised nobody was willing to overpay him at $8-9 per.  Shabby playoffs might've cost him.

That is a good price for JR Smith.

Definitely.  I'm surprised a team like Phoenix or Milwaukee didn't throw more than that at him though.  New York is a good fit for the role he's suited for too.

He's only getting paid SLIGHTLY more than Kyle Korver. Definitely a great move by the Knicks.

Good signing for Portland. Nice cheap contract.

Portland is going to be crazy good very soon. I think they're a very good candidate to sneak into the playoffs this year, and they're only going to get better as the years progress. I'll be watching a lot more Blazers games now as they have a very exciting young team.

Spurs picked up Jeff Pendergraph on a two year deal.

Good replacement for DeJuan Blair for the Spurs.

Portland was supposed to be crazy good two or three years ago then look what happened. I don't see Aldridge sticking around and Lillard probably won't be able to be the best player on that team. I had high hopes for Portland a couple years ago. Now not so much.

The last time they had an exciting future, Oden and Roy screwed it up for them. In past years, they've had a solid starting lineup, but an awful bench. Now, they finally have a complete starting lineup, they have an actual center (though they could certainly use an upgrade over Lopez), and they have a bench. And none of these guys are carrying the injury risks Oden and Roy did. Portland's future is far brighter than at any point in the last decade. Olshey is doing work up there.

Agreed. I've always been a bit of a Blazers fan, and I don't think any recent team has been so screwed over by so many injuries. Their problem last year wasn't their starting five, it was the complete lack of a bench. Lillard lead the league in minutes played last year--that's ridiculous.

Oshey should at least investigate trading their 2014 first rounder to Phoenix for the Suns medical staff.

Wow, great deal for Pachulia. Tony Allen should hire Pachulia's agent.

Why the heck do the Bucks need Zaza? They have enough good big men as is.

The reason this is "tentative" is because he's getting the full Early Bird exception, but the amount of that exception won't be finalized by the league until later this week.  He's agreed to stay in NY for the most the CBA allows NY to pay him, whatever that number winds up being.
