The thing about Stevens is that he trusts his players. He recognizes that basketball is about them, not him. This was Doc's biggest failing as a coach, in my opinion. Of all the things he was good at, Doc simply could not integrate new players outside of the Big 3. Players either fit in his system, or they failed and underproduced. And it's not surprising. It seems like every time a player goes from Boston to another team, they do much better.
Because of this, not only will our youngsters thrive, but I think Rondo will quickly hop on board the Stevens train. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I have a feeling that Stevens will trust Rondo and let him run his own stuff, but not to the point where it's basically Rondo's team (a la CP3 under Del Negro last year).
