Quote
Stevens is known for a calm, focused coaching style. He spends a lot of time analyzing opponents using statistical analysis, adding new wrinkles to his team's play each game. He puts a strong emphasis on defensive and team oriented basketball. Butler's success against teams with superior athletes has been attributed to Stevens' coaching style and calm demeanor. Stevens has twice been named the Horizon League Coach of the Year and won collegeinsider.com's Hugh Durham Award mid-season honors in January 2009. He has also been both a Hugh Durham Award and Jim Phelan Award finalist all three years of his career. Stevens has been called a coaching prodigy and compared to John Wooden

He could very easily end up like Mike Dunlap.

I'm a fan of Stevens, though.  Really excited to see what he brings to the table.

Props to Yoki for being on this guy's bandwagon from the start.

Situation is different, Boston is in full rebuild mode and everyone is fine with it. Brad Stevens is the best young coach in America. Love it.

This is a prove "plus" proving that DA is out of control and he does not know what hell he is doing. He sent out almostall godd players that we have. Know he presented a ridicoulos coach, for sure not for NBA quality-level ...See the resume of this "coach". Is not a resume for a coach oh NBA team.

Whoa...three days ago I had a dream...I saw Brad Stevens roll a stone away from the opening of a cave. He walked out and showed us his hands...actually his wrists. He was wearing Celtics cuff links.

The people gathered around the cave marveled at his transformed, transcedent appearance. As I looked around at the faces of those in the crowd, I recognized Red who shared with Brad a knowing wink.

The dream faded into a haze with a disembodied voice proclaiming "if you rebuild it, wins will come."

What does it all mean?

Love it. Love it. Love it. Great hire. Perfect timing to get a coach that needs some time to get comfortable.

oh he will have plenty time. we could be tanking for 2 or 3 years straight the way it is looking right now.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

No, I paid for it. But seriously, I like this hiring just fine. Good for Brad Stevens.

Wow, reading the wiki he sounds like a prodigy. I can get excited about this (though I still really liked Stan Van... who knows what pros are going to think of a 36-yo golden boy?)

Sweet.  I was hoping we'd hire Nanny McPhee to babysit the children during the tank, but I guess giving this college kid a 20-spot to make sure they don't stay up too late and eat too much chocolate works just as well.

You know what? I personally love sitting back and watching the Danny Ainge Show unfold. I trust him as a GM, and at least he gives us something to do during the offseason.
