I think that the Celtics could be into "tank" mode but there are a lot of competitors in the race to the bottom to acquire the most ping pong balls. If Rondo pulls a Derek Rose and sits out the entire season, we will be atrocious. It might be better to acquire players like Perkins and Jefferson and build up the talent pool now while it is relatively cheap to do so.

People keep on saying this but Wiggins isnt just the only great prospect in that projected draft class. Anything in the top 5 should be a great building block.

Also, being the worst team in the league doesnt guarantee you the number one pick. If you look at the past, if you are in that bottom 5, you've got a pretty great chance. In the past decade, the team with the worst record has won the lottery twice.
