Stuckey and Villanueva for Gay.

This is why Detroit didn't waive Stuckey this past week, and save $4 mil in payroll.

Toronto won't take this kind of return for Rudy Gay, will they?

Is Toronto trying to save $$$?

Yeah. The team was headed no where as constructed so their new GM is tearing it all down and heading in the direction he wants it to be.

New GM, new direction. Ujiri probably wouldn't have been in the Rudy Gay sweepstakes had he been in charge when Memphis made him available.

Pistons are clearly done being a cellar dweller very aggressive this offseason, what if Danny budges and detroit courts a starting 5 of

Rondo
B.Knight
Rudy Gay
Josh smith
Greg Monroe

Preety good contending team right there.

I'd love to get Rudy!

Think Toronto would accept a Green/Bass package for him?

If I am not mistaken, Gay is also friends with Rondo and Josh Smith.

If we could also get Gay, then our chances of getting Smith only increase.

I think a Rondo/Gay/Smith core would be pretty sweet!

Interesting and actually possible.  No real bad contracts there.  But no bench either.

I believe that team is impossible unless Josh Smith signs for very low dollars.  They don't have enough cap space or contracts to absorb Rondo, Gay, and Smith.

Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah

The raptors just got a new GM (a good one in my opinion) but the only way this goes down is if he thinks he needs cap space to start his rebuilding project.

That would be a real coup for Detroit if they can pull that off.

I hope Toronto don't do this. I was really enjoying watching their team play after the trade deadline last year. They have a nice nucleus there with Kyle Lowry (PG), DeMar DeRozan (SG), Rudy Gay (SF), Amir Johnson (PF) and Jonas Valanciunas (C).
