id like to know why we couldnt get in on any of this

In retrospect, if Dudley and two second rounders was all it took for Phoenix, I'm not sure why we couldn't have offered a similar package centered around Lee.

Because Lee is a far inferior player. Not nearly as good a defender or 3pt shooter as Dudley, and not as smart of a player either

I'll give you Dudley being the better shooter and smarter player, but to say he's better than Lee at defense is completely wrong. Whether you use statistics or the plain eye-test, Lee is a vastly superior defender.

Dudley, like Lee, is an excellent '3 and D' guy.  Dudley is also two inches taller than Lee.  Calling Lee "vastly superior" on defense is nuts.  I've watched Dudley play, and he's a darn-good defender.

Factor in that Dudley is on a better contract than Lee, and Dudley is the better player.

Having a size advantage doesn't automatically equate to having a defensive advantage. Considering your own team carries a prime example in Avery Bradley, you should be well aware of that. Again, both statistics and a good old-fashioned eye test can confirm that Lee IS indeed a vastly superior defensive player. It really isn't close.

Otherwise, as hpantazo pointed out with basketball IQ and 3-point shooting, and as you pointed out with the better contract, I do agree with you all that Dudley is the better player.

And Milwaukee definitely got snowed here.

Milwaukee did ok for a sign-and-trade of a player who they wanted but who didn't want to be there.

To me they didn't do well at all.  They traded a young player with great potential in Harris for a couple of months of JJ and then they basically traded him for 2 2nd round picks.

The trade doesn't happen without them so they should have gotten more like Bledsoe and Butler themselves.  They could have thrown someone else in to make the money work.

Great trade all around

The bucks where going to lose redick for nothing (where stupid to trade for him in first place)

The Suns gets younger and more exciting

The Clippers add the elite role players they needed.

Clippers send Bledsoe and Butler to Suns and get back Redick and Dudley in a 3-team deal. Bucks get two 2nd round picks.

Wow great trade for the clippers, got JJ reddick and Jared Dudley, the 3 point shooters they desperately needed. Now there a complete team. Complete contender.
Not sure about a complete contender given their center position, but they are definitely better. Nice trade for LA. Two extremely intelligent players that are good locker room guys. Gotta love that.

I dont see the hate on D.Jordan in these forums.
Last time i checked we won a championship with Kendrick Perkins. Obviously they don't have  07 Garnett but they do have Chris Paul and Blake griffin with Jamal crawford. D.Jordan is not a liability to te clippers.

He can't play in the 4th quarter. That's kind of a big deal. That's a huge hole in their lineup that teams can exploit.

They still have the MLE I think to chase a 4th quarter big.

Until they fill that hole they aren't a complete team. This deal helps though. Those shooters are going to space the floor nicely.

Still think they could have gotten better for Bledsoe and Butler's expiring deal. Solid move. Not the sexy deal I thought it would be, but definitely solid.

So once again let me see the centers of the past champions,

Is Bynum a great free throw shooter? Is kendrick perkins a great free throw shooter, is tyson chandler a great free throw shooter? I dont mention the heat because they dont even play a center.

Deandre Jordan can be a center on a Championship team, idk why there is such hate on these boards of him. No he isn't the first option but on the Clippers hes the 5th option behind CP3, Blake, Jamal, JJ , DJ.

It's not hate. He's overpaid and a liability. Solid player and IF he could shoot free throws, he could be the starting C on a Championship team.

Bynum shot 65% and 68% in the playoffs when the lakers won.
Perkins shot 68%.
Chandler shot 68%.

Deandre Jordan in the playoffs last season shot 22%. 2 for 9, small sample size, but he was under 40% for the season.
