I think these teams need to be at least playoff caliber with Rondo on them or even be quasi-contenders with his addition. Otherwise with his age and personality I don't think ot would work.
Also these teams need to be able to provide us with Assets.
I would prefer to send him West also.
My ideas for the West.
Utah - Hayward and Burke for Rondo. They them bring back one of Big Al and Milsap. That should be a playoff team.
Dallas in a S+T for OJ Mayo if they take Lee's contract as well. Might have to trade Marion for Wallace too (not sure when these guys could be packaged in the same deal).
Houston - One of Lin or Asik, Terrence Jones, Thomas Robinson, and a future 1st.
Sacramento - 2014 1dt round pick and Tyreke Evans in a S+T
(A nice core of Rondo, McLemore, and Cousins and potential cap space if they amnesty Salmons)
Memphis - Mike Conley, Ed Davis, and a likely late 2014 1st round pick
* I thought about Phoenix but I don't see a match that makes sense for both of us and I am sure they would be hesitant to acquire Rondo with the lack of talent on their roster
My Ideas for the East
Atlanta - Some combination of picks, rookie deal players, and cap space. (They obviously bring back Josh Smith.)
Indiana - Granger, Gerald Green, filler, and a 2014 pick for Rondo and Wallace whenever they can be packaged together.
(Indiana gets their PG and another Lebron defender)
Toronto Lowry, Bargnani, Ross, and the right to swap 2014 firsts for Rondo and Wallace when he can be traded
** I didn't see a trade that made sense for Detroit, Charlotte, Philly, Orlando, and Milwaukee that Boston would do.
What trades do you think make sense for a team wanting to acquire Rondo that a team would agree to.
