Cheers lads. Always a pleasure.
Am I by the way the only one that can't get excited about any of our latest acquisitions yet? I feel like they might be gone before the season starts regardless of how promising they seem...
Just feels like Danny isn't done yet - or maybe I'm still in denial about everything :]
I think a lot of us could hardly care about any of the new guys, but are hopeful about the picks. Actually I like Olnyk as a guy who could end up having a long career being a shooter off the bench, but he will have to become a better shooter first, which I think will happen.
The trade was such a drastic dump that I am in the camp that hopes were are tanking JUST THIS season to add to the value of the trade. I want our 2014 pick to be in the lotto. After this year, go all out to become as good as possible and hope the other teams picks we have traded for become valuable assets to use or trade for established players and use cap space to get free agents that fit. But I hope we hold Rajon out and do some creative coaching to lose games.
If other posters are right and Rajon comes back and we end up 38-44 and get a 10th pick or worse, well this trade we just made loses a lot of its potential value.
The dream is that we have an awful season, draft a guy who becomes a superstar, and NJ and Clippers do terrible the next few years and we end up getting lotto picks in 2016 and 2017 and 2018 when we are already winning 47+ again in 2015-2016 with: Rondo, Olnyk, Sullinger, Bradley, free agent, 2014 high pick, Green, 2014 NJ pick, Lee, Bass, 2015 Clip pick, our 2015 pick.
