As I watched yesterday's draft, I was in shock over how the first round went down. The two players most felt were going 1st and 2nd ended up going 6th and 7th in Noel and McLemore. I think one ESPN panelist mentioned that Bennettt had a shot at #1 and so he was about the only guy on television that wasn't perplexed by the Cavs pick. Noel and McLemore continued to slip and then the trades started happening.

Noel to Philly for a 24 year old All-Star in Jrue Holiday. trey Burke to Utah for Shabazz Mohammed and Gorgui Dieng. Kelly Olynyk to Boston for Lucas Norgiera and future 2nd rounders. Norguera and Mike Muscala to Atlanta for Shane Larkin. And a host more trades of guys at the end of the first. Then the big announcement of Boston and New Jersey's blockbuster.

Then add to all that Bill Simmons being added into the mix of the Draft telecast with his comments regarding the first overall pick, Atlanta taking advice from David Kahn, J.R Smith needing to be on a one year deal and his interaction with Bilas and Jalen Rose. Simmons made watching the Draft a ball.

Then add to all that the playful way David Stern and the classy fans of Brooklyn played off each other all night and then the way Stern got a standing ovation at the end and then the fans turned on Adama Silver who will now be the next commissioner at next year's draft.

Being a Celtic and basketball and Nerlens Noel fan, I was shocked, heartbroken, entertained and enthused all night watching the NBA Draft. It was by far, one of the more emotional and yet satisfying nights of watching a draft I have ever had. Kudos to the NBA for putting that on last night.

definitely was one of the more intriguing drafts I ever watched.  I can't stand Stern but his playing with the fans and their boos actually made him likable to me.  won't miss him but I thought he brought some humor to the situation
