  • It's all about the TEAM!
He's legally obligated to work for us via contract.

tell that to Doc Rivers and some of his apologists. I say if Rondo does not want to be a part of the team, then ship him out.

What team would that be?

We can't just ship everyone out every time something gets posted on the internet about them. We're running out of staff playing the Nazi Regime Prison Camp Game. "You will do as we say!!!"

Personally, I haven't hardly heard squat from or about Rondo since he got hurt. Can we get just a little more reliable info before we jump to conclusions?

Man gets hurt playing for us and a sentence gets blurted about him on the internet on draft day and everyone is ready to run him out of town.

What next, ship Green out when he finally starts thinking it sucks we don't go to the playoffs anymore and no one pays attention to the new guy? And my teammates don't have Celtic Pride like I do???

Gonna be hard enough watching KG and PP probably get traded. If you get rid of Rondo too, it's like Bradley is the Grizzled veteran of this team now.

The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer

If rondo wants out bc of all of this he is a disgrace.

This is the reason i admire players like Nowitzki and KG.

They are until the end

Why are you bringing Nowitzki up? Cuban has done a very good job of surrounding him with talent throughout his whole career... yet last year or two he's been a bit critical of the direction of the club, and questioning Cuban's putting a title contender on the floor... his non-desire to be part of a rebuild.

So... how's that any different than Rondo?

bc nowitzki didn't leave. I'm not sure about his displeasure about semi rebuild, i'm sure its not pleasent but i have not once heard him complain. Rebuild or i'm out threat either.

Nowitzki is patient with the process and most of all he wants to win as a Mav

He's a difficult personality.  I'm positive Ainge is looking at trying to trade him today.  He's been looking at trying to trade him for years.  He's not someone you build a champion around and he's certainly not someone you want as the face of a rebuilding franchise.  Rondo's 27 years old coming off ACL surgery and this team is in full-blown tank mode.  We're getting some cheap coach to babysit.  If he couldn't get along with Doc Rivers, one of the most personable "player's coach" in the league, there's no way he's going to get along with some bargain-bin company man.  Rondo is going to hate it.  Dude only gets up for playoff games... he'll be mailing it in every night and probably fight with his coach daily.  Terrible situation for him.

Didn't even have to read the name to know who the poster was.

I've become a caricature of LarBrd33.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Rondo has been spoiled he came into a lottery team and the next year won a title. The team's been competing for championships every year since. If this is true and he didn't go through even one year of a rebuild without contemplating leaving then I don't want him. He clearly wants to be a leader, so he better be willing to take his lumps with his team just like Pierce, Garnett, and even Ray have done in the past.

I knew he would have issues being on a losing team, but he hasn't even played a game yet. I hope this stuff is all made up, because I can't respect it.

Can't blame Rondo for reconsidering his future with the team since he basically lost his two best teammates/mentors and his coach in a week.

I hope he stays in Boston though, it wouldn't make any sense to ship him out.

Good he's overrated. I would honestly rather have Chalmers over Rondo. The guy hits clutch shots and is a winner. Rondo can't shoot and drives teammates away. Plus he's much cheaper and a few years younger than Rondo too. Plus Rondo is coming off of a horrible injury and he might never be the same again.

Chalmers???  Seriously???  Wow there must be something crazy in the air today, with all the trade talk and the draft.  Last I looked RR was an all-star point guard, and Chalmers...well he isn't.

We should all get started on the CelticsBlog Get Well Card for BBallTim after he reads this and has a heart attack.

Haha. I'll survive if he gets traded, but some of the people latching onto this are generally wrong about most of what they say about Rondo, so I'm skeptical about the story.

You're under the impression that KG's still in Minnesota?

I'm skeptical about this story. What will you post about?
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

We would have probably won a total of 2 playoff series over the last 5 years with Chalmers instead of Rondo. The guy who led the Celts to the ECF last year isn't the winner, it's the guy who's never led a team anywhere. Got it.
