Woooooo, rebuild 3.0, let's double down with Rondo for Nelson + #2 pick.

Nelson / Bradley
Oladipo / Crawford
Green / Wallace
Sullinger / Humphries
#16

That team gets a top-3 pick next year and is headed for max-level FA money. You take Bradley, Oladipo and Sullinger plus 2 1st rounders every year for 4 years, pick up Wiggins / Parker / Smart next year...

I'm wondering why wasn't Rondo talked to prior to all this if he's going to be the 'face of the franchise'...that's just really unsettling

i feel like Rondo is def the type to make us go thru some Melo/Dwight type mess.

I really find this hard to believe.

He's legally obligated to work for us via contract.

Absolutely, just like Doc  :)

Let's not overreact. Even if this is true, it is likely a gut reaction to losing the main three other guys you won a ring with over a span of about five days.

Anyone would be upset.

This makes me both angry and excited. Angry because I think Rondo could be an all-time great at PG. Excited because we could get a lot in return for him and have some good young pieces to build around. Best trading partner would be ORL and their #2 pick.

We should all get started on the CelticsBlog Get Well Card for BBallTim after he reads this and has a heart attack.

If we are going to tank lets do this right and get a top 5 pick for a couple straight years. maybe 3.Then hopefully a couple draft picks work out and we wheel and deal other people and picks for a couple more stars and shazam! we are contenders again!  ;D
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Agreed.

And also, if you're Rondo why wouldn't you have pause about wasting your prime in a rebuilding situation?

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

tell that to Doc Rivers and some of his apologists. I say if Rondo does not want to be a part of the team, then ship him out.

No way in hell you trade Rondo this year, his value is down due to his injury. The best thing to do is obviously let him fully heal and showcase him a bit next season and hope that you are able to get three quarters for your dollar. Of course this goes all out the window if Ainge is able to pull some crazy trades in the future and keep Rondo happy.

I wouldn't want to play with the losers we may get in this deal either!!!

I would be very upset if I was Rondo, I would be asking Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. is the master plan here Danny?

Trade rondo & Bradley to Indiana for hill,Stevenson,dj plus two first round picks.

Would love to see this team beat miami.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Rivers is a disgrace. And next quite possible is rondo. What a bunch of whiners.

Dude I heard that some innocent guys were in a prison and wanted to get out. What a bunch of whiners.
