If you have Kyrie, then why get Vasquez?  Isn't Oladipo a better fit for that team and just as good of a player?  Not to bad mouth Vasquez, because I feel like he is a hell of a talent, but this makes no sense

They don't want vasquez, this is about moving down 5 spots in a crappy draft to acquire a solid asset PG and a another bite at a lottery pick in a much better draft.

Would be great for the Cavs, giving them two top picks in the prime 2014 draft, when there's a good chance that Len or Oladipo, possibly the two best players in the draft, would be available at 6 this year.

super weak draft.

anyways, this makes sense. Kyrie is made out of glass, so getting a solid backup at PG is huge for the cavs.

A Nerlens Noel/Anthony Davis frontcourt would be interesting.
that would be awesome

Dont like that trade for either team. Irvings got the PG spot locked up for them for years. Adding a number 1 pick like Len or Noel no matter how weak the draft is, would be a huge addition for them.
irving has it locked up? irving cant even play 50 games in a season. they need a back up

It's clear the cavs want wiggins next year, and just want to tank this year. If im New Orleans btw i take this in a heart beat, Noel and Davis front court. Could be a good rebuild.

This makes it less likely for them to get Wiggins.  Vasquez will contribute more this year than any of the top 6 picks with the possible exception of Bennet, and maybe Oladipo if you consider defense.

But they might get either one of those at 6.  Would be a great deal for Cleveland and a bad deal for N.O. imo...

No because they would possibly flip Vazquez for cap space or more picks.

Cleveland offered the trade.  That means New Orleans didn't take it or we would be hearing about the trade being finalized.  This is nothing more than Cleveland trying to prop up value for the #1, which is why this was leaked.

Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah

Maybe the C's get in on this?

BOS Sends: Rondo, Pierce
BOS Gets: Vasquez, Thompson, Waiters, #31, #33

CLE Sends: Thompson, Waiters, #1, #31, #33
CLE Gets: Pierce, Eric Gordon, #6

NO Sends: Vasquez, Gordon, #6
No Gets: Rondo, #1

Not sure if this is even possible but looks good to me!  Keep in mind I really like Vasquez.  :-)

I like for the Celts. However, I don't think Cleveland does it.

I don't know.  Gives them some proven talent in PP and Gordon... and if they have an injury or 2 - they could easily tank it as well.

That would give CLE a starting lineup of...

Kyrie
Gordon
Pierce
Varejao
Zeller

Pretty solid.  Add the #6 pick and another guy or 2 and they could make a nice run.
