The New Orleans Pelicans are making Eric Gordon "very available" in trade talks, according to a source.

Gordon signed a four-year, $58 million deal with the Phoenix Suns last offseason that was matched by the Pelicans. Gordon badly wanted to play for the Suns and was publicly disappointed by the Pelicans' decision to match.

Gordon played in just 42 games last season due to a continued string of injuries.

Absolutely do not take a risk on him... Not worth it at all...

I'd trade Puerce and Bradlet for him right away. His injury history is overblown, and we need a scorer on this team.

I wonder if Phoenix will make another run at him? New GM running things over there, though. Wonder if he is still their kind of guy.

Huge contract....misses tons of games.

we already have enough injury prone or risky players with Sullinger, Bradley, and now Rondo.

I like him as a player and wouldn't be too concerned with his injuries but I am all set with undersized twos. You are at a huge disadvantage on the defensive end with a short SG.

Agreed. Look at his game log. Nothing about his injury history is overblown.

I think his "star" potential is what's overblown. Even if healthy, he's overpaid.

At his very best and healthiest, he's an undersized combo guard who can score 20 points. Not worth $14mill in my book.

It's pretty safe to say you don't win championships with out future HoF type players..we might have one in Rondo but we need two more.  EG eats up a ton of cap space and is so injury prone he'd be hard to move.  We need a superstar and you only get those through the draft or building up lots of assets and making a trade.

I remember chasing D.Wilkens, Dana Barros, and Kenny Anderson and hoping they could turn it around....i'm all set with Gordon.

I would do Pierce for Gordon straight up if they really wanted to get out of his contract that bad.

I love Bradley but Gordon when healthy is way better. I think Gordon could play next to Bradley to give Rondo a breather at times or play next to Rondo. Although I would probably prefer Josh Smith to Gordon I wouldn't be upset if we got Gordon.
