Yeah labeling any basketball coach as "presidential" is pretty comical

Remember when our "presidential" coach almost got in a fist fight with our 25 year old point guard because he used a swear word?

Heard it this morning on weei while I was working . If this is true , who comes to mind ?

Obviously Larry Bird is my first though
Phil Jackson(No way in hell)
Nate McMillan
Jerry Sloan(but I think he took a role with the Jazz already)
George Karl(has said he doesn't want to rebuild)

Who else is presidential ?

Avery Johnson?

Presidential?
Well, Obama, who does play a good game of bball I hear.
Other than that: Roy Williams? Tom Izzo? Mo Cheeks?

Did you not catch his 2-20 public performance?

What the heck does "presidential" mean in this context?

Let's get a coach who's a great developer of young players, a good motivator, a great x's and o's guy, etc.  If he can deal with the media and the scrutiny of Boston, so much the better.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

If we go the Rondo/Green/Smith route, I think Lionel Hollings would be great.   We have enough assets to be a 50 win team and he made that happen in Memphis.  Style of play will be different, but I think he has the experience needed.

Nate McMillan has an air of sagacious authority about him.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I think Calipari would be a lot of fun. Although he's less presidential and more Mafia don.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Doc could have been 'it". Too bad the lure of LA got the better of him. Can't blame him but just saying...

Aren't those the words Donald Sterling used to describe Vinny Del Negro?

Only other time I can recall those words used to describe an NBA coach. Strange choice of words.
