Sheridan is a hack. Did he completely forget we have Jeff at the 3?

Maybe Jeff would go in a separate deal for something else.  If we are going for the total rebuild maybe having the younger Kidd Ghilchrist than Green makes sense.

Or the more I think about about the Celtics were able to play both Pierce and Green together with either a big lineup at the 2 and 3 spot or small at the 3 and 4.  Maybe they could do something similar with Green and Kidd Ghilchrist.

True. It was more the way Sheridan worded the article in that we're looking for a Pierce replacement.

MKG is 6'7", so he can presumably play the 2. Idk much about him, except for buzz words (high motor, hard worker) how's his shot? His percentages are ugly, but how does his form look?

Maybe Rondo + #16 for MKG and #4?  Probably way too much for the Bobcats to give up.  Would be cool if we could find some way to sneak out of this with nerlens noel and MKG as our building blocks for a tankjob.

MKG can play the 2.  I think he would play really well with Green, actually.  Can you imagine having a 6'7" SG and a 6'9" SF?

I would like that trade if we could nab Noel at 4. I wouldn't do it if Noel is gone before then though.

Guys, you know one reason the Celtics are pursuing Kidd Gilchrist?

I'll tell you why.  It's because Rajon Rondo is our Point Guard.

Rondo will help turn Gilchrist into a big league stud and, down the road,
all-star.

Supposedly they're trading him because they think they can get Porter at #4.

So yeah,  they're not trading both.

They must be in the all in tanking mode for next season. Going after Wiggins or Parker.

I say either Bradley or Lee and maybe even the Clips 2015 or this years 2013.

He could play the 2 I think right now. We'd become long 1-4 if they can pull off Smith, and if Kg stays thats long 1-5. And young out side of KG.

Then in a couple years you have the decision of MKG or Green to keep for the next contracts.

Can MKG play the 2?  I thought he was a defense first player.  I mean I think he would help the rebuilding process but is he a starter level player for us coming in?

Definitely willing to trade AB plus assets if we can land MKG in return.

I like Kidd-Gilchrist.

Not the smartest cat in the basket, but not an idiot, either. Brings the hustle.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

looks like Kidd-Gil averaged about 9ppg last season.  Starting on a bad team, eh I doubt he is going to be high scoring 2 we are looking for.  Is he a developmental backup 3 behind green then?

He is starter level this year, but he is about two years away from a breakout season.  The Bobcats really want Harrison Barnes for him, but that isn't going to happen and Rondo is more of a piece than Barnes is.  I don't think we'd have to give up Rondo to get him, in any case.

I think trading our 16th pick and the Clippers pick + one more piece would nab him.  The Bobcats have already given up on him and most of the smart GMs who would normally jump on him have their hands tied this year.  If we could get him for Sullinger + 16 + Clippers 2015 I would be very interested.

Doesn't seem to fit with their goal of replacing him with Porter...

Do they have enough cap room to absorb Pierce and give us a trade exception?

If so, maybe we send Pierce, Bradley, and #16 for MKG?

CHA gets a vet to play SF for one year and mentor Porter, a good backcourt defender, and a pick they could use to get another rotation player.

We get MKG and the trade exception that lands Josh Smith.

No way.  The 16th pick and possible late first round pick in 2015 for a guy who was the 2nd overall pick just last year?  It's not like Gilchrist was horrible.  He showed he had a lot to work on and may never have a ceiling more than very good role player but you don't trade a very young player you drafted extremely early for just that.  That's just like giving him away.  If they have to keep him, I don't think they'll be broken up about it.

Yeah I would be a happier to do Bradley + 16 + Clippers but I'm not sure if it would fly.  I really don't think though that #16 in this draft is going to amount to much and the Clippers in 2015 will probably still be pretty good.  Jordan is a terrible scout on these types of things but they don't have any need for Bradley and both of those picks have a very low likelihood of panning out.
