Interesting tweet from David Bauman.  This might indicate that Danny has already reached out to him to see his interest or vica versa.

David Baumann: Stan Van Gundy told me "no comment" yesterday after I asked about his intrigue of Boston vacancy. SVG, no comment?!

I don't think he's interested...at all.

BUT...if he came here, I'd be totally happy. I like SVG.

I've always been a fan of his movies. I also think his male enhancement infomercials are hysterical too. Sounds like a great fit.

I like SVG, does anyone know if what he ran in Orlando was a function of who he had or if that is his system.

I think he's a great defensive coach, but we don't have the post presence or the 3 point shooters to run the Orlando system. If he is able to adapt his system to an uptempo style that befits Rondo, Bradley and Green then I think he would be the best option to coach.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Well if we can get Ron Jeremy's twin to roam the bench I'm guessing that at the very least the cheerleader quality skyrockets

I think his run in Orlando consisted of a lot of hand-waving and very little ability to get his players to do what he wanted. At least that was always my impression. I've always seen him as the Rex Ryan of the NBA, so to say -- talks big game and supposedly has great pedigree, but overall has very little to show for it.

I think he is a very good coach, I'd be happy if the C's explored hiring him.

He's also my first choice. Excellent defensive coach, has experience developing raw, young stars and getting them to play well-defined roles in a system.

Also, his offense was built around the drive-or-three approach that sabermetricians are now in love with. It seems to me like he was way ahead of the curve there.

Orlando would be much better off today if they hadn't let Howard kill him before he left town. Their loss could be our gain.

not a fan.  his total loss of control in Orlando with Dwight taking control from him turned me off of his as a decent coach.

Excellent coach. I'd love to have him here in Boston.

I put that on ownership and Dwight's upcoming FA status.

I don't think Van Gundy handled it great, but he was also in an impossible position with Howard's constant wavering and tantrums.
