Golf legend Phil Mickelson; tennis ace Rafael Nadal; boxing champ Oscar de la Hoya, all the great left handed pitchers in basketball

and the best left handed player in basketball is chris bosh?  ???

.. You think strongly driving left would be a competitive advantage. the only problem is that your left handed shot goes against a defenders dominant right hand, but that makes you a better defender

I'd say Zach Randolph is just as good as Bosh is. Mike Conley is good. Tayshaun Prince used to be pretty good.

Bill Russell was a lefty.
I like Marcus Smart

Globally, roughly 12% of men and 10% of women are left-handed.

There is no exact known percentage of men that are over 6 feet tall. It is estimated that around 14% of all the men in the United States are over 6 feet tall.

Couple those with the fact that the comparative advantage isn't THAT much better...

Also, Bill Russell is left handed. Bird is.

Apparently so is Gasol, T-Mac and Gary Payton.

So is LeBron James

Edit:

T-Mac is left handed according to that forum.

Edit:

Also James Harden.

Maybe because some coaches force their players to shoot right handed for a better form. I've read that some coaches do that.

Because they're rare. Like 90% of people are right-handed. I am glad to be a part of the left-handed master race, though. Helps me dominate in football and boxing.

Bird, LeBron, bdm860

That certainly is an exclusive club  ;)

I write and eat with my left hand. Shoot and throw with my right, but bat left.  I was never pushed by coaches to use my right (by the time I got to the level where I had coaches, 1st or 2nd grade maybe, I had alreeady picked a dominate throwing hand).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class
