(1) Stan Van Gundy
(2) Nate McMillan

I would also be very happy with Brian Shaw if going for a first time head coach.

  • GOT IT!!!
Give a guy like Shaw a chance. He should come cheap and it's not like wins will be a priority the next few years.

Shaw even though I know little  about  the guy besides the fact that he  was an assistant for Phil Jackson. I looked him up recently and I found out that he left he played for us  and left  to go to Italy and the huge contract dispute. Even with all that being said, I still want him to coach the celtics.

ML Carr.
Thanks.  That's usually what I say in the other dozen threads about this.  TP

It doesn't matter who coaches... we'll be trying to lose.  Hire Vitaly Potapenko.

Hollins makes a lot of sense. Defensive coach with playoff experience.

Danny.  He used to coach.  If he wants to save the Celtics a few dollars, he can be the coach/GM.  Let him coach the "assets" he has left.
We all think we know more than we really do....

Shaw is going to run the triangle, not optimal with Rondo.  Pass.

I'd be happy with McMillan I guess.  I want no part of the Van Gundys.

By the way, why is Del Negro even an option on the poll?  He'd be the best if we're openly tanking, but otherwise, he shouldn't even be in the discussion.

they need someone who can keep rondo in line..which might be impossible...

Shaw or McMillian works for me

Or any of Pop's assistants.
