let the Sullinger, Green, Rondo era begin! LOL! It's like the Pierce, Jefferson, Gerald Green era all over again.

and PP ends up in LA.

WOW is LA big enough for Kobe, Howard, Gasol, Nash, CP3, KG, Pierce. Griffin, Billups?

That is a lot of basketball star power in one city.

Good Lord, finally this saga is over.  We need to hire Brian Shaw asap.

Okay how is this for a conspiracy... DA has not interviewed any candidates for coach because he was sure Doc would end up with Clippers leaving Shaw Hollins and Scott without a job. Knowing he would have his pick of the three he did not panick at all. Perhaps to avoid collusion charges Sterling has been interviewing the candidates for Boston. lol

I think we all should be grateful to Doc. Not only for the championship or the nine years he has spent with the organization, but also specifically because of this last parting gift.

The man has been nothing but class. I will miss him.

I wish him all the best. Show the Lakers how it´s done.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Clean out your locker Doc. Good luck on the Fruit & Nuts Coast. But wait, won't that put you further from your beloved Family in Florida who you've been pining for since babysitting Pro Players in Boston?

@celticsblog I'm just going to assume that whoever the Clippers pick 25th on Thurs is secretly part of the KG-Jordan deal delayed til July.

Boston has nobody on this team that can make jump shots...rondo. bradley, the waste of $ Terry, lee...nobody

They need perimeter shooting and they need to dump terry.

Courtney Lee cant make a jump shot?

Did you watch him last year? He was awful from outside
He shot 37% that's hardly awful
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I just don't see this happening without Doc being here:

Anything's possible (sorry) but I think KG stays.

I think KG has a better than 50% chance of staying. Doc Rivers is a really good coach but you're telling me that KG would rather retire than collect 11-13 million? Don't buy it

Evan is right. Even in a "down" year his 37% still put him above guys such as JJ Redick and Joe Johnson.

I really don't understand all the Lee hate. I have zero issues with keeping him in green.

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

I totally would rather keep Lee than anyone on the Cs bench....Terry is the one that needs to go...his contract is a bench much..I guess i expected more from him this season.

i think lee is a good, not great, player. he plays outstanding defense with normally good shooting. i think part of the problem was doc plays an offensive scheme that doesnt fit well with lee's skill set.

since the celtics are getting a new coach, this may change. lee has talent and i really think last year was an aberration.
