And moving that Boozer contract would be the only reason the Bulls move the Charlotte pick.

I'd definitely do this deal. That Bobcats pick could easily end up being a very high lottery pick in 2016.

Humphries gets a lot of crap, but he is a solid enough player and will be expiring soon (we could probably even move him for an earlier expiring deal from a team needing front court depth).

I just don't know if the Bulls are going to be willing to give up that pick for a rental in KG or that the Nets would be ready to take on Boozer's bloated deal. Definitely possible that they both would be interested though and if they are I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Very interesting trade idea.  It would come down to KG and his no trade but for a chance to play for Thibs with Rose coming back, that is a very legit title opportunity.

I think Brooklyn does it as money is not an issue for them and it is the only problem with Boozer.  He is a productive player and would not need to be the guy in NJ.

We probably do have to give something more back to the Bulls.  Or maybe Brooklyn would give up something more.  Maybe a future pick as even protected, a Bobcats pick and Boozer is a lot for KG.  He is definitely a player who could lead you to the promised land but he also could go down in injury.

Did you try this trade on the trade machine to see if it's valid because I don't think it is.  Boozer makes far more money than Humphries so I don't think that the Nets could do this. 

Also there's no way they'll pick up another year of Boozer's salary for Humprhies.  Boozer is owed 32 milion over the next couple of years.  I agree that the Bulls may be one of only a couple of teams that KG may be willing to go to.

Throw in Chicago's 2013 1st round pick and the deal looks fair for all three teams.

This is not unreasonable, if Doc leaves Boston, I highly doubt KG stay in the team, and even more with the departure of Pierce.
I think KG would only play for two coaches (first Doc), Popovich and Thib.
Chicago is a highly competitive team for KG.

Humphries expires after the next NBA season. This upcoming year is the last year of his contract.

And I think the Nets would absolutely pick up a year of Boozer. He is much much better than any big on that team besides Brook Lopez. Sure he is overpaid, but that is irrelevant to the Nets as they are over the cap for the foreseeable future.

Worst case for them? He becomes a valuable expiring contract after next season.

This is a really good idea. Makes sense for everyone involved. ...Nets wouldn't play much defense, but they'd score every possession!

This is actually a pretty even deal. 

Gives Chicago an improved frontcourt with more height, which is huge in the East.

Gives the Nets a huge upgrade at PF which is their weakest starting position.

Gives the Celtics a really good pick in 2016 (or late lottery in 2015).  A very good pick no matter what.  The thing I really like about a 2016 pick and the 2015 pick from LAC is how far in the future they are.  If we can have some pretty productive players in place, those picks could be what it takes to land a great player via trade to put us over the top.  That seems to be almost the only way star players change teams lately.
