Danny should just reschedule the press conference for 5 pm this afternoon and say whatever he was going to say this morning.

Yeah I'm not quite sure what you expect Doc to fetch. Pat Riley got a 1st rounder I believe and SVG got two 2nd rounders or something.

The pick doesn't sound very heavily protected anyways.

well, considering Ainge is trying to rip them off and the CLippers aren't taking that, then i'd disagree with you. They're looking pretty [dang] sharp right now. SVG was traded for a 2nd round pick and Pat Riley for a single 1st round pick and $1 mil. Doc should net you guys a 1st round pick, nothing more nothing less.

What's Up with the Triple Quotes and so forth. It's hard to know who quoted who and clutters up the thread.

Yeah that's something that I try to avoid myself, but its just part of the forums. *shrug*

The real issue is when someone accidently breaks the quote boxes and everything gets jumbled.

Isn't it pretty common knowledge that one is referecing the last comment, and that the person making that comment is at the top of the boxes?  Doesn't seem that hard to me?

The Clippers don't have a second round pick until 2017 (although some of the ones they traded before then have protections on it, that could allow it to be traded to the C's, if it falls in a certain range).

Yes, I believe that´s exactly what they´re trying to do.

I think the Clippers understand that the package of KG + Doc is worth more than just the individual parts...and you only need one part to get the other.

Quite frankly, I wouldn´t be surprised if it was the Clippers themselves who intentionally sabotaged the deal by leaking information.

I want Doc Rivers to fetch more than Pat Riley if Riley would feel insulted that Doc required more compensation.

Yeah, realistically, it's probably smart for Danny to take the 2015...but it should be unprotected...if Doc insists on leaving for LA.  OTOH, *I'd* probably just laugh at that offer and hang up.

Celtics and Doc Rivers' camp rapidly reaching belief there's no deal to be made with Clippers. Rivers flying back to Orlando.
