well technically (and hopefully) we can still get a trade with PP.
I guess essentially it'd be another wink wink, but we can get SOMETHING for him then that team can waive him or something.

Yeah, I think Danny's looking to see what he can get for PP over the next week and a half.

I look for Houston to be a possible partner.

the way I see these deals with the Clippers there is a lot of wink wink going on.

The deal is really Garnett for DJ and 1 pick.

and 1 pick for Boston doing a wink wink waiver of PP.

We are not really getting anything back for releasing Doc.

Love KG, but you guys will be pleasantly surprised with DJ when he gets good coaching in Boston. He is an imposing specimen with good athleticism. He will do well with Rondo.

I believe DA has done well to either retool, or fast-forward our rebuild.

I don't think DA wanted PP or KG back, and he definitely did not want to pay a burnt out Doc 7 million. It will be a coup if he gets these deals through.

What makes you think there's a Pierce wink-wink in there?  Though I agree, it's likely Pierce gets waived by someone and ends up with the Clips.

Correction: Just saw the press report that that's part of the plan.  If true, I'm less keen on the deal.  Not that I'm particularly keen on it now...

If Doc is the real value, then Clippers are getting FLEECED. CP3 may just regret this when it is all said and done.

This is a classic which comes first the chicken or the egg.
Doc was nothing without the roster DA built for him in 2008.

Doc is nada without KG. KG is driving this deal, he started driving in 2008, why do you think Doc wants so much to keep KG wherever he goes?

Doc is not a rebuilding coach. I think we have found that out. I'm more annoyed that KG is leaving than anything else. Well that and the DeAndre Jordan FT show that we are about to witness...maybe he does develop into Tyson Chandler but I wouldn't hold my breath

   .
You realize this theory isn't substantiated in any way, shape or form, right?

if you compare value in and value out,  you will see that Doc's value in this deal is only the relief that Celtics don't have to pay his overblown contract. Short of that we are not really getting compensation for him. The compensation coming in his barely enough to pay for KG and (wink wink) PP.

Has there been a single story of the Doc/KG saga that's even hinted that what you're saying is true? This is just denial.

Exactly.  You've got one year of KG getting you Jordan (which isn't bad) Rivers is getting you 2 #1's basically.  IMO we aren't waiving PP we will trade him so there can't be a wink, wink deal involved.  I think they will then use assets to do a S & T for J. Smith (without including ROndo, Green or Jordan).  Then you're front line is Jordan, Smith and Green.  They still will need a Shooter, but man that's an athletic front line...
