The Celtics are alongside the Spurs two of the classiest organizations. And they do it with no help from the league unlike the Knicks and Lakers.
What the Spurs have been doing, however, the Celts have been doing forever. People don't realize it. If not for two untimely, tragic passings, the Original Big Three would have held up longer. Len Bias would have made us the 90's Bulls of the East.
The Celts and the Spurs are the winningest franchises, even when you include the surreal tough luck. As said before, they aren't even the biggest market teams. These two franchises have been DOING IT RIGHT since their inception.
That's why, like the Spurs, the down years are going to be few and far between and, before you know it, the Celts will be back.
No doubt Danny has brought the Celtics back to relevance. The winning culture is back. See this as the resurrection of the Celts. Like most things, there are up and down years but I personally have nothing but hope for this team.
