It was a fairly evenly called game but as with the other 2500 or so games this year in the NBA, there was zero consistency as to what is or is not

1. A shooting foul
2. An offensive foul
3. Traveling
4. A moving screen foul

Bosh fouled Green.

Manu was fouled but not until he had taken 3 1/2 steps.

An early shooting foul on Lebron was clearly an offensive foul as he threw himself into Splitter

But the and one that Leonard got on a breakaway that sent Ray Allen into the stands was also an offensive foul as Leonard jumped left in Ray Allen and knocked him into the stands.

And a lot of under the basket contact to get position was called fouls when those all should have been no calls. I am remembering one especially that Lebron drew on Green that was just Lebron muscling Green out of the way.

But what lost this game was poor free throw shooting at the end for SA couple with some bad defensive rebounding at the same point in the game by SA. Is that Pops fault for doing the old offense-defense substitution thing to get his stars like Parker and Duncan some breath? I don't know. But San Antonio lost this game and Miami won it. Refs played little to no part of it why the result was what it was.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
If anyone robbed the Spurs it was Manu Ginobli.
7 turnovers and -19 efficiency.

Dunno why Pop kept him on the whole 4th/Overtime.

Read that last line again. One more time.

So tiring.

If Miami wins anything: NBA is rigged.

The game was not unevenly called for Miami last night.  Stop it people.  There may have been questionable calls, NO SURPRISE, but they didn't lean one way or the other.

This is true.  However, when the refs blow calls on San Antonio's last two plays, the complaining is natural.

Refs need to do a better job getting calls correct, regardless of how much time is left on the game clock.  If Manu and Green were fouled, put them on the line.

Fact is Leonard missed 1 of 2 free throws to put them up by 4 with less than 20 seconds remaining. That led to the Ray 3 so don't blame the refs.

So the Heat can commit fouls and not get called for it? Miami made mistakes also but the difference is they are allowed to get away with it. Same old story. The only way to beat the Heat is to make sure the game is not close enough so the refs can become a factor. NBA is a joke!

So do you think they let them play next game and very few fouls get called?  Basically, what they do in hockey when game 7's occur.

The difference is the 'questionable calls' all go in favor of Miami at the end of close games like this. That is the difference. I am not saying it was the only factor but they are allowed a very visible advantage imo.

the calls that mattered the most were not called.  Ray Allen's steal was a clear foul. Bosh's block on Green was a clear foul. and those didn't even look close to a 50-50 or "play on because the game is physical". the Ray Allen foul was so obvious.

Were Miami even called for a foul in the last few min? Every questionable call went Miami's way. Everyone can have a difference of opinion but that is what I saw.

If the NBA was so rigged LeBron would have gone to the line on the Green drive to the basket, no?  Or did they miss Stern whispering in their earpiece for that play?

Manu traveled.  And I don't think the Green play was much to complain about.  He got stuffed, yes there was some body contact, but the block was the main part of the play.  I like physical basketball, maybe that gets called early in a game but I'm not going to be the one to complain.  I hate soft officiating.

Yet, I saw at least 3 times refs swallowed their whistle for Miami in the last few min. of the game! That is the difference. Miami always gets the most leeway on calls esp. at the end of close games.

Which calls were whistles swallowed for?  And is that just Miami or don't refs almost always swallow their whistles at the end of games and allow physical play?

Ray allen against Parker obvious missed call.
Bosh body check block to name a few.

I think they would be called if the Spurs had done it. It is my opinion. If you disagree that is fine. I am done arguing about it

this was one of the comments over at PTR:

"Man, I hate the Heat. I hate their extra-large bandwagon and their 24/7 ESPN coverage. I hate that 3/4 of their fans don’t show up until the first TV timeout. I hate Justin Bieber. I hate Ray Allen. I’ve hated him since he played for the Sonics, and then with the Celtics, and now that he’s a blatant title-chaser and his face looks like he’s permanently smelling someone’s Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline., I hate him even more. I hate how Wade’s knee is on the verge of amputation in 18 playoff games, then magically reattaches itself with Hulk strength. I hate how excited announcers get when LeBron blindside blocks someone who has no idea he’s even there. I hate the Miami P.A. guy. I hate Chris Andersen and his stupid mohawk. I hate how Mario Chalmers thinks he’s a top-10 all-time point guard. I hate how the Heat can take every other game off and still make it to the Finals because the East sucks. I hate how they get to play 16 games against Charlotte, Cleveland, Orlando, and Washington and people still make a big deal about them getting 66 wins. I hate how they got the freaking BUCKS in the first round. I hate LeBron’s headband. I hate LeBron’s lack of headband. I hate Wade’s whining. I hate Dove Men’s Care products. I hate how Miami bought their 2012 championship. I hate how Nike already made shoes calling LeBron a “two-time champion.” I hate how Erik Spoelstra just stands around with a blank face like he has no idea what’s going on half the time, and then somehow the team goes on a huge run anyway. I hate Pat Riley’s slicked-back mobster hair. I hate that LeBron actually has an outside shot now. I hate how Mike Miller walks like he has a peg-leg, then runs and jumps like nothing’s the matter when the ball is in play. I hate that the Heat front office got rid of Eddy Curry, so now there’s nobody on the roster than I don’t hate. I hate that Miami makes me hate them, because I don’t particularly like hating people."

funny stuff.
