We are the Boston Celtics.

We are not getting fleeced by the Los Angeles Clippers.
We are not trading one Kevin Garnett, for DeAndre Jordan straight up.
I don't care if he's 40. He is a loose ball diving, rebound snatching, trash talking mf'er', clear eyed full heart, can't lose high top wearing, one of a kind.
He is a fire breathing dragon.

We are not just getting one draft choice for this deal.

Doc Rivers is our Head Coach.
He gets paid 7 million a year.  More than what you or I will make in 50 years.
He is in Auerbach's house.
If that is not good enough.
Then he can leave the same way he did when Larry Joe Bird sent him and Kevin Willis and Dominique packing the last time. -out the back door on Causeway Street.

Paul Pierce is a throwback.
He has spent his whole career here.
We didn't give up on him after the Indiana series. You know the one where he got ejected at the end of the game. The one where he wore a neck brace to the press conference, wwe style. Even 'Toine Had to excuse himself from that one.
We stuck with our guy and he has emerged as one of the most clutch players in the history of not only Boston, but the NBA.  He is the Truth.

Two years ago we were a call away from The Finals.
This year we lost Rondo, Sullinger and Barbosa..
We may be a player, or two away.
But who knows, what other moves Danny can make.

We are not getting fleeced by the Clippers.

We've got next.

We'll run it back.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I'd rather us run it back than to get fleeced by the Clippers.

The Problem is Ainge didnt put the right young talent around to run it back with...He should have been acquiring young players and developing them similar to The spurs , so you could mix the youth with the vets we didnt really do that

Every year we "run it back" is one more year before we become relevant again.

What if the Spurs had blown it up last year--we would not be watching this quality team oriented basketball.  The only reason Danny should be blowing it up now is if he is certain Rondo will not be ready next year.  Why not try it one more time --let Jeff Green grow, let Sully play healthy and let PP and KG retire with the dignity they deserve.  Danny is wrong and Doc, and KG are wanting out rather than put up with Danny's stupid, disloyal crap!

6th year on a 3 year plan
injuries
and a coach that's kinda stuck in the past
we were also the 7th seed

weren't the spurs a top 4 seed last year? just happened to underestimate their opponent

Yes about Spurs last year but--- we lost Rondo and Sullinger this year and Danny decided to go into the season without a backup point.  An argument for another shot with this group is there ..unless Rondo is projected to take as long as DRose to heal.

If we were cruising along looking like world beaters before all the injuries, I would agree with the run it back philosophy. Weren't we something like 20-22 and in the midst of a 5 or 6 game losing streak? That's with Rondo, Bradley, Pierce, Sully & Garnett all in the line up, the way we had it planned all along.

Every year we "run it back" is one more year before we become relevant again.

Relevant is the Conference Finals, inches from the finals.
Relevant is making a 20 pt. comeback down 3-2 against the number 2 team.
This without Rajon playoffs Rondo.

DeAndre Jordan 10 million dollar 40 percent from the ft line contract and one number one pick- let's see, Clippers pick this year is 25.  Doesn't Do it!

no there isn't
we were 20-23 with rondo, let's recall

and even if it was because everyone wasn't playing well, you have the two main players coming back a season older. you're going to risk being 20-23 again, unless there are serious changes in the game plan (which I think we doubt would happen).

we had tons of backup guards. pretty sure barbosa was to be that guy. and we've never had a real good back up pg unless u count keyon dooling.

We've got next.

We'll run it back.

The only thing this team will have if we run it back is a first round exit and a bad draft pick in a loaded draft.
