If Danny is all business and no loyalty to someone who has given what Paul has -and- KG and Doc are loyal to each other and Paul but upset with danny and Wyc--where do we as fans  owe our loyalty?  How many Cav's fans went with Lebron and said they were Lebron fans?  Are we to be blind or stupid with our loyalty?  If this happens what does it mean to be a Celtic fan?

Danny Ainge because he, back stabbed Paul, and didn't get it when Doc and KG stood up for what was right .....but mostly because he--- created this S_U_C_K_S!

W. W. R. D.?  What would Red have done?

Why should Danny have any loyalty? It's not his job. His job is to put this Celtics team in the best position possible.

He gave these guys there shot, they got a title and time ran out. It's time to move on. It has nothing to do with loyalty.

Then is it a fans job to support the team I think is the best out there...loyalty has to come into play!  Danny's job is not that simple and it certainly is not to loose as many fans as the Celtics will with this junk.  Your approach is for fair weather fans.

Coming from a fan base that has been loyal to the idea of tanking since the KG deal was made I find this funny as hell

Red would trade Cedric Maxwell for Bill Walton.

Don't understand this narrow idea of there's no loyalty....If KG wanted loyalty he wouldn't agree to a trade to the Clippers....he wants a championship and he knows it won't happen next year with the C's. he's showing his loyalty to Doc by agreeing to a deal if they can work it out.  And i think Doc and KG are looking to help Ainge by agreeing to this possibility...they get to go for another championship and they leave in a deal that brings back assets.
I think they both will ultimately retire with the C's....I think it's all good...nothing about lack of loyalty...

Letting KG and Doc (and possibly Pierce) compete for a championship instead of suffering though this season is a lack of loyalty? If without the trading Doc decided to take a year off and KG decided to retire, how is that a more noble scenario?

Anyway, the only loyalty Danny should have is to the team. If that means he needs to move a player, he better. Pierce signed a deal with a team option. Why wouldn't the team decide to not pick it up if it made sense? That is the contract he agreed to with the understanding that he would get paid well in the guaranteed seasons.

If you don't like that trade, that is your prerogative. But the 'loyalty' talk is not compelling.

Even Max I believe agrees that his antics and lack of commitment got him traded>

Do you really think Doc and KG and Paul are for this or are they taking this because Danny won't give them the opportunity for one more go around in Boston.  KG was only going to retire if Danny released Paul.

I may not know the whole story behind the recent events, but it looks like Doc may have "Phil Jackson loyalty".
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

That's silly there is nothing even close to a uniform position on the Celticsblog not on this issue or any other.
