Now I would agree with you on that front except for one major detail you left out, and I'm not even sure that its completely true, but its certainly been reported by a few sources:
Doc told the Clippers to not include Eric Bledsoe in any trade deals with the Celtics because he wants to coach him in LA.
Considering that Bledsoe is the major hangup in this deal, that to me is the worst thing Doc has done.
It's important to note that its not known whether this actually had any impact on the Clippers trade talks (although I have to assume that at the very least it reaffirmed their position of not including Bledsoe), but its seriously poor form on Doc's part in my opinion.
I'm not all that bothered if Doc wants/wanted to go to the Clippers and bring KG and PP along with him, I love Doc, but if he doesn't want to be here we are probably better off getting someone else. BUT when he starts to negatively impact the potential deal the Celtics are working on to get that done, thats where I start getting upset with Rivers.
That first deal including Jordan and Bledsoe, works out for everyone involved from a Celtics POV. Doc, KG and PP go for another ring on a stacked squad and the C's get a nice package of young talent and picks to help the rebuild. Without Bledsoe though the C's really get the short end of the stick in the deal, so not only is Doc leaving with our vets, but we'd get hosed in the process. Thats upsetting to me.
