Reading all the stories about this potential trade reinforces why for the most part I am no longer a passionate fan of professional sports. There is little or no loyalty anymore from either the players or ownership. Every year, half the roster is new and you need a scorecard to figure out who is on your team. It is extremely rare to see players spend an entire career with one team. The only sport that seems to have figured it out is football, with far fewer free agents and far less roster turnover. And, the NFL is by far the best pro sport to watch. If Paul Pierce is not allowed to finish his career in Boston, it will be a travesty.
This stuff probably does not bother most of the younger fans, but as an older guy, it really makes me sick. I’ll still watch some games, but my passion will be far less. I gave up my season tickets and the end of this past season. Good luck to Danny with all of this ridiculousness.
Peace
