What do people think we could get Hayward for? I think Hayward and Jordan would REALLY benefit from playing with Rondo and Green.

Utah values Hayward very highly. We're not getting him.
Jeff Green - Top 5 SF

Bledsoe for Hayward sounds about right.

The #16 pick wouldn't be enough by itself. Maybe a second first rounder would do it if it were a good pick. A late lotto type pick. Maybe. Probably not but maybe. A late first rounder certainly wouldn't be enough to add the #16 though.

I don't think the Jazz have much need for Sully or Bradley. They already have two top young bigs in Kanter and Favors and are likely to keep at least one of Big Al or Millsap. And they need more playmaking and offensive talent in the backcourt than Bradley provides as a lead guard. So that limits the Celtics trade options. They don't matchup all that well with Utah's needs.

A Jeff Green for Gordon Hayward trade could work too but it sounds like you want to keep hold of Jeff Green in this scenario.

If Gordon gets a clean bill of health

PG: Rondo   / Bledsoe
SG: Gordon  / Lee
SF: Green   /#16 (Glen Rice Jr or Giannis) or UFA Pietrus?
PF: Sully  / Bass
 C: Jordan / Melo or #16(Dieng?)

What do you think of a roster like that?

I would think that is a 45-49 win roster.

I know they do. And that is why I'm wondering what people think it would take. When he gets the ball, he scores. He also gets to the FT line a good amount of the time, makes most of those FTs, gets a decent amount of assists, and is 6'8".

As I said, I think that we need to look further than points per game. Gordon scores a lot because he shoots a lot. He misses most of his shots. He is a ball-hog. He doesn't make his team better, in my opinion. Hayward does. When he gets the ball, he scores points. Hayward would average 20+ if he took as many shots as Gordon. He also plays hard-nosed defense.

I'd prefer to keep Jeff Green (somehow get a third team involved?), but I'd prefer to have Hayward over Green, to be honest.

We aren't getting Bledsoe.
Clippers aren't getting Howard.

I'll never understand posts like this.  We all know that you don't know whether or not we are getting Bledsoe or whether or not the Clips will get Howard.  It's just a 'buzz-kill' post.  We all are aware that the Clips are balking at Bledsoe, but we are equally aware that the possibility exists. Same goes for the Howard to Clips deal -- maybe unlikely, but possible.

Stating your case about why you think the Clips will be unlikely to trade Bledsoe or why the Lakers are unlikely to trade DH to Clips is a lot different than the blanket pretend knowledge statements you (and others too) throw out there.  These statements are opinions stated as facts which I think is usually just done to annoy.  But shame on me for getting annoyed by it.

We should send Pierce to Houston for Lin/Asik to help them sign Dwight and CP3. Take that Clippers.

Why would Houston do that? We couldn't get Asik alone (or Lin, for that matter).

Well, when you chuck up a bunch of shots, of course you'll score a lot. He scores 1.22 points per shot, which is...horrible, especially for someone who is supposed to be a scorer. I think people put WAAAAAAAAY too much weight on points per game. Anyone can score 17 points when they shoot 14 times a game.

ESPN's website lists Blesoe's points per shot as 1.13, which is the same as Nikola Vucevic, Luol Deng, Festus Izeli, Al Jefferson, and Klay Thompson.

1.22 would have him in the same neighborhood as Jermaine O'Neal, Al Horford, OJ Mayo, Eric Gordon, and Jeremy Lin.
