Get the guy from Butler.   He is young and bright and wins with less talent.   He will be a great coach for years to come.

Let's see how Karl managed Javale. Oh wait.  ::)

for like...a season and a half?
there was a big diff in denver javale vs dc javale. with ease.

You do realize, Javale was a big factor in why Karl was fired.

This is an $11mil/yr player who will be in Denver for four years ($44mil is a lot to owners) with per36 stats of 18/10.

18 points.
10 rebounds.

And he's getting 18 minutes a game. That's a joke. Karl isn't a good coach.

Bad management that compounded the mistake of over paying the knucklehead by getting rid of a coach that has been winning and getting his team into the playoffs without a top 10 star.

If you're gonna overpay a per36 18/10 guy, you might as well play him.

Why when there is a better option?

Coaches are suppose to try and win, not make sure the GM's overpriced pet projects get extra playing time.

Does he have any NBA experience?

I am completely against bringing in a guy with no coaching experience and no NBA experience (coaching or playing)

Man, some people are going to regret the things they have written about Doc if it turns out he has some undisclosed medical problem and he is taking his time evaluating his ability to stand on the sidelines for a full season.

if Rivers  really wanted to coach and help the Celtics,  he wouldn't be putting the Celtics team though the ringer ......
Doc Rivers = Ray Allen
Hire another coach.....

We don't know his reasons yet. What if he's not pressuring Ainge? What if he's trying to pressure KG into coming back and/or Pierce into taking less money? He could be hinting to them that if you decide that's it, then I'm outta here too, and it's your fault Rondo will end up p---ed off.

;)

By the way, actual minutes w/ per36s:

Code: [Select]
34.7  'dre I - 13  6  2  1
34.4  Ty Law - 17  3  7  2
32.5  Danilo - 16  5  3  1  1
28.1  Faried - 15  12 1  1  1
26.2  'dre M - 13  4  8  1
25.1  Wilson - 19  7  2  2
24.4  Brewer - 12  3  2  1
22.4  KostaK - 13  11 1  1  2
18.1  Javale - 18  10 1  1  4

And he played in 79 games this season, so don't tell me "that's a gross overrepresentation of what he can do."

Idk if I should be more angry or worried about this. He has 2 years left on his contract and said he wouldn't mind rebuilding 2 years ago. Now he said he is uncertain?

If this whole thing has come to this point where Doc is highly considering change, then that means KG and Pierce will no longer be Celtics for next season and I truly hate even putting those words in my mouth.

I really hope this is just Doc trolling the media. I really do.

Maybe he's ok with rebuilding but doesn't want to go into full-blown tank mode and Ainge is pressuring him to go down that path.

McGee gets a lot of rebounds and blocks.

But his team gets beat on the boards worse when he's on the court and opponents shoot a higher percentage at the rim too.

Undisciplined numbers don't help you win games.

No Karl for me.

Jeff Van Gundy would be okay, since all the top assistants already seem to have been promoted.ally

But I really want at least a first-rounder if the C's are going to let him out of his contract.

KG and Doc for Bledsoe, Jordan and the Clips' first would be okay with me.

It's the coach's job to turn undisciplined numbers into disciplined numbers.

You need a good coach to do that.
