Tony Parker uncertain for game 4..noooo

I'm just hoping it's nothing serious. The Spurs did GREAT last night without having Parker have a major impact, but that's not going to continue. They need him out there.

Tony Parker may not play in game 4 b/c of his right hammy. Going to have MRI today. This may cost the Spurs the championship. Heat are getting lucky again!

I wonder if Stern will fine the Spurs for sitting a star player for a nationally televised finals game.

I think without TP for 1 game only won't be a handicap. When a star is done, 99% of the time they get supper motivated, specially the players who suddenly get more minutes and perform exceptionally well. I'm confident the spurs can win this game without parker.
Anyway maybe they are just trying to lead miami to false information to mess with them a little.

Not sure if this is a joke, but if not Rodman is dumber than I thought. Like him or hate him, to deny the James is one of the best players to ever play the game is just plain stupid, and if anything I think he would have done better in the 80's when there were not near as many athletic players as there are now.

Well I'm hoping he plays out of his mind and it still results to an L..lol. It does seem like the Heat thrive off the elimination pressure.

Like him or hate him, to deny the James is one of the best players to ever play the game is just plain stupid, and if anything I think he would have done better in the 80's when there were not near as many athletic players as there are now.

How many times to you think Lebron would have been able to waltz into the paint and dunk 40  points against Laimbeer's Pistons?  The twin towers of Houston?  The Bird/McHale/Parrish front line?

Lebron would have to change his game.  The bulldozer-to-the-paint move wouldn't have worked in the 80's against 80's big men, would have been less effective [protected] without the hand-check fouls, and wouldn't have gotten to the line as often without the restricted zone under the hoop.

Lebron is very talented for sure, but today's game really caters to his play.

LeBron would have been awesome in any era, too good an athlete with a varied game.

This is why cross-era debates are often so foolish. Playing in a different era wouldn't be dropping present-day LeBron into that game. His entire game and development would be different. And he would still be an All-Star and MVP candidate every year.

Anybody think Pop/his staff are just playing mind games with Miami? This leaves uncertainty for Miami on game planning as well bet he's a gametime decision knowing really he's going to play.

Hey, Chainsmoker, that article on Lebron's game, my friend, is what they call a 'puff piece.'

Yes, Lebron supposedly worked with Hakeem one summer.  The team has him shoot from different locations.  That's the story.  Oh, and he's more efficient now than he was as an 18 year old rookie on a terrible team.

What the article DID say, though, was that he uses his size mismatch inside now.  Again, put that against all the big lineups in the 80's, and he's just another player.

Remember early in his career when he worked on his jumpshooting and 3pt shot?  He came out in the first game of the season and went crazy on 3's?  And now his jumpshooting has cost his team in the Finals, all these years later? 

I'm sticking with my story:  Today's game completely favors LBJ's strengths while covering his weaknesses.  The game has changed, and swapping the player into another era is swapping him into another game entirely, and Lebron wouldn't have been as good after Bill Laimbeer laid him out on his ass.
