It depends on how the offense is clicking. If the team has been playing really well and Gronk and Hernandez stay healthy I'd go with Mallet because he can step in and play the same pocket passer style as Brady and we wouldn't have to adjust all that much for him. If its a case where Brady is carrying the offense and the WR corps haven't shaped up well and one of Hernandez/Gronk is injured I'd rather see Tebow because he has that playmaking ability. With Bill and McDaniels working together I could see a situation where he might be able to work some Tebow magic and keep us competitive where Mallett would have struggled to keep it all together. Overall I like Mallett better as a second option. He was a potential top 5 pick at one point and has a cannon of an arm, plus three years of learning behind Brady can't hurt. He hasn't shown much in the preseason but he definitely has talent.
The best word I can use to describe Tebow's playing style is "zany." I am fine with rolling with Mallet if he looks like something special after a start or two, but if he looks like Matt Cassel 2.0 then bench him for Tebow. I at least want to be entertained.
