Choose your side. Actually I'm not as invested in this one because I think Mallet is pretty good.

If it's a choice between bad data and no data,  I'll take no data.

A few cardiac wins aside, Tebow has been a pretty bad NFL QB (46% completion rate and 72.9 QB rating with the Broncos).

You would have to also take into account his running data which is pretty good if you like 5 yards per carry and touchdowns

It depends on how the offense is clicking.

If the team has been playing really well and Gronk and Hernandez stay healthy I'd go with Mallet because he can step in and play the same pocket passer style as Brady and we wouldn't have to adjust all that much for him.

If its a case where Brady is carrying the offense and the WR corps haven't shaped up well and one of Hernandez/Gronk is injured I'd rather see Tebow because he has that playmaking ability.  With Bill and McDaniels working together I could see a situation where he might be able to work some Tebow magic and keep us competitive where Mallett would have struggled to keep it all together.

Overall I like Mallett better as a second option. He was a potential top 5 pick at one point and has a cannon of an arm, plus three years of learning behind Brady can't hurt. He hasn't shown much in the preseason but he definitely has talent.

Since our receivers will probably be average this year Tebow combined with our solid running game and throwing to Gronk and Hernandez would be fun.

However, if Brady gets hurt we are toast and neither guy is leading us to victory.

No Brady means no Superbowl.

But if that was the case...I'll start Tebow and let Mallet off the bench.

People will call for Tebow. I think it'd be more beneficial to develop Mallet since it would be a lost season at that point anyway.

Moral of the story lets hope Brady stays healthy

The best word I can use to describe Tebow's playing style is "zany."  I am fine with rolling with Mallet if he looks like something special after a start or two, but if he looks like Matt Cassel 2.0 then bench him for Tebow.  I at least want to be entertained.

Mallet.

I like Tebow as a guy but the fact that he's now a Patriot still doesn't make him an NFL caliber QB

If one of the most accurate QBs in pro football history goes down, is it a good idea to replace him in that precision passing offense with one of the least accurate passer?

You make him sound like the Jordan Crawford of football.

Wow, can't believe people would pick Tebow over Mallett, as there's really no comparison in NFL rediness or even  talent ... Tebow's very talented, but nowhere near Mallett's level at this point, (he doesn't even throw the ball correctly, and many of his mechanics are far from NFL-ready).
