I know, I know.  Anyways, this is the first shot I had at this on the Trade Machine.  It's basically looks like:

Celtics send:
Rondo (Miami), Pierce (LAC)

Celtics Recieve:
Bosh, Eric Bledsoe, Willie Green

__

Heat Send:
Bosh (Celtics)

Heat Receive:
Rajon Rondo, DeAndre Jordan

__

LAC Sends:
Beldsoe (Celtics), Deandre Jordan (Heat)

LAC Receive:
Paul Pierce

___

Again, I know, this is a borderline troll thread.  But Eric Bledsoe would cover about 80% of Rondo's role and we would have a real center that fits Doc's system.  Willie Green is just there to make the salaries work.

Miami would get an upgrade at PG and could move Chalmers, or even make him a 6th man.  Plus, they get a better Center for their system.  It would open them up to hack a DeAndre, but overall I think he'd be a good fit.

Clippers get the player they want and basically make the same trade they were about to do 4 months ago.

It's pretty outlandish, though.

If the goal is to help Lebron James get his eight titles with Miami, then this is a great trade.  If the goal is to try to find a way for the Celtics to compete with the Heat for the foreseeable future, then, not so much.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

It is tempting but I can't see Miami saying "yes". Bosh as their main big man is more important to them than Rondo would be alongside Wade and LeBron.

Probably not worth doing for Boston either. A lateral move. Just swapping one set of problems and solutions for another. Doesn't really improve the team.

This is HEAT fan not a Celtic fan.   The C's would never do that.  Thank God for Cortez!

They get DeAndre Jordan.

We turn into the Bosh era Raptors.

The only team these idea helps (makes BETTER) is the cHeat! It not only makes them better it makes them unbeatable! You give them a center AND one of the best PG in the game??? For Bosh??? LOL stop it!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

A D-Wade for Rondo trade might make more sense.

Gives Miami a very well balanced big three with Rondo, LeBron and Bosh.

Boston gets a main go-to scorer to slow alongside Pierce and Garnett. Bradley should be able to play alongside Wade in the backcourt too (and stick to his corner duties on offense).

I don't think this is that crazy. This would turn the Heat into a team full of players that can't shoot. Crazy athleticism. But teams would pack it on D or foul Jordan and send him to the line. And come to think of it, Wade and likely Rondo can expect to decline physically over the next few years. Their athleticism wouldn't be as good as it would seem.

For the C's, if they can get Bosh (a borderline All Star big that can shoot) and Bledsoe (at worst a rotation guard) for a nearly washed up Paul Pierce and Rondo coming off an injury, I'd have to consider it.

I'd honestly think the Clippers would have the biggest problem with this. Paul Pierce looked horrible in the playoffs. He can still score against scrubs but can he bring it against elite talent? I think he's getting dangerously close to spot-up shooter territory.

The Clippers never make that trade.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I do hate the Miami Heat with a passion.

But there is one player that I particularly look up to in that squad. And he is Chris Bosh.  ;D I liked him when he was still in his Raptors days. Lost a little respect for him the moment he joined up in South Beach. Then gained a bit of respect back after they lost in the finals to Dallas.

Honestly, if we can get Bosh to come to Boston that'd be great. But if we're trading Rondo for him....nah I'll pass.

I think that's an accurate Freudian slip.

Another stretch big? No thanks.
Whats with the obsession with stretch bigs? I've been reading a bunch of them on CB. LOL

Chris Bosh
Ryan Anderson
Mirza Teletovic

All of these players are soft.

We need to get nasty. (Greg Popovich Reference)

We need an Omer Asik, Tiago Splitter, Nikola Pekovic
Those types of bigs.

If I were the Celtics, I'd do this in a heartbeat!

I don't think Miami would

I've always liked Chris Bosh and think he's a very good player.

The ONLY reason I do this trade is to see the look on Judas' face when he finds out that he and his buddy will be reunited.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Otherwise, no way. A warrior for a whimp is a no thanks from me.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Anderson isn't soft. He's a scrappy player that also gets boards - a rarity among stretch bigs.
I like Marcus Smart
