Apparently Terry removed the plica from his left knee. I remember after the playoffs I saw on his twitter account that he would be getting his knees fixed soon.

"Jason Terry, as it turns out, was not running on two healthy legs by the end of the season.

The Celtics guard, who tweeted a picture of himself running on a treadmill in the Celtics' Waltham practice facility today, had an arthoscopic procedure to remove the plica from his left knee. The plica is described as an extension of the protective synovial capsule of the knee, and can become irritated, enlarged, or inflamed if caught between the patella and the femur.

"I saw him today, and he looked great," said Celtics president Danny Ainge. "He's doing really well."

Asked if the condition might have contributed to Terry's late-season performance, Ainge said, "I'm sure it was bothering him."

Terrence Williams will also be getting his knee fixed with an injection. He said his right knee had been getting terrible tendonitis and required the injection to help heal it.

They do, it was a scope to remove cartilage from the knee -- it's explained in quite a bit of detail in the article.

I don't know for sure. I do know my friend suffered something similar, and had to have it removed. Before it was removed, the act of bending his knees was pretty painful and at times would need plenty of rest after games. So maybe?

Either way if Terry is coming back healthy, then next season there should be no excuse if he completely fails.

Well you never know. Didn't Pietrus have a knee surgery and then had a bad season with us because his knee problem came back?
